The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.
I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Pool Party card stock for the layer.
The Designer Series Paper (DSP) was cut next, it's from the "Wildflower Birthday" 12" x 12" package and it measures 3-3/4" x 5". I taped that to the Pool Party piece and then that was taped to the card base.
Next I took a piece of Basic White card stock and using the rectangle dies from the "Nested Essentials" set I cut two pieces of the second largest size. One piece I textured using the "Star Struck" embossing folder and the other I stamped the words on. I do not know the set where these words came from. I had stamped them a while back for use at another time. I used Basic Gray ink to stamp them so it would go with anything I would find to put it with down the road. I should have written down the set. So if you know what set this came from, please let me know so I can include that info here.
Using Pool Party card stock I cut two of the largest Nested Essentials" rectangles. I taped the word piece to the Pool Party rectangle and I glued the textured piece to the other rectangle.
The cupcake and balloon is from the same "Wildflower Birthday" package. There's two sheets of precut images, they are hanging by a thin piece of card stock and just pop out. Dimensionals were added behind the cupcake and the balloon. The string of the balloon was tucked a bit behind the cupcake. Dimensionals were added to the back of that rectangle and it was set in place on the lower left of the card.
Dimensionals were added to the back of the word piece, being careful not to add any where it would overlap on the textured piece. Glue was added on the overlapped part and the piece was set in place on the front of the card. And that was it.
This was such a quick and simple card to make. I love using these pop outs, they are do cute and fun to work with.
Thank you SO much for taking your time to stop in and see today's birthday card,
Wanda
