Sketched Butterflies, Wildly Flowering, Thinking of You Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a thinking of you card to share with you. I'm a bit late in posting because I was almost done making a beautiful card I found on Pinterest and the more I worked on it the more it looked familiar. I looked back over the posts on my blog and there it was. I had already made the card. It still catches my eye! LOL So I had to start from scratch but I had to rush because I needed to get it done before the deadline. If I wait too long to post it becomes the next day's business. Please read on to see how I made today's super quick and easy card.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the bottom and the fold is on the top. I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of "Wildly Flowering" Designer Series Paper (DSP). I taped it to the card base.

Next I cut two strips. The top one measures 4" x 1-1/4" and the bottom one is 4-1/2" x 1-1/2". I taped them to the front of the card. The bottom one is about 1/2" from the bottom edge of the card base and equally spaced on each side (as much as you can by eyeing it).  There is a 1/4" space between the top and bottom strips.

A circle was cut using the "Deckled Circles" dies using Misty Moonlight card stock. I used another circle for the DSP. Before taping the DSP to the circle I had cut the smaller circle from the center. Dimensionals were added to the back and the piece was set aside.

The words are from the "Sketched Butterflies" bundle. I stamped them using Misty Moonlight ink. I cut them out with a "Deckled Circle" die and taped it to the smaller Misty Moonlight die. I added tape to the right side of the piece and Dimensionals to the left side. I affixed the smaller circle to the top of the larger circle. Then I removed the backing on the Dimensionals and set the circles in place.

I added the butterfly that was made using Basic White card stock and a die from the "Sketched Butterflies" bundle. I added three rhinestones down the center of the butterfly and one on the DSP circle.

This was a quick card to make and I think it turned out okay, not one of my favorites.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's thinking of you card,
Wanda
