Simply Said, Wildflower Designs, Birthday Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a birthday card to share with you that you can whip up in no time at all. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Wild Wheat card stock. I had purchased the variety pack of the in colors back in 2023 and this is the last piece of Wild Wheat in that package. I usually buy the variety pack and then I pick a couple of colors I think I would get more use out of. Wild Wheat wasn't one of those and I'm glad because it took me all of this time to use up the few sheets you get in the package. My piece measures 4-1/4" x 11". The fold is on the top and it opens from the bottom.

I stamped the flower on the front using the image from the "Wildflower Designs" bundle. I used Wild Wheat ink to stamp that image all over the front of the card.

I wasn't going to make another card using the "Wildly Flowering" 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper (DSP) but when I was putting it away this strip fell out. So I took that as a sign to use up my scraps.

I cut a 5-1/2" x 2-1/4" piece of Early Espresso card stock for the layer and my piece of DSP measured 5-1/4" x 2". I taped the two pieces together and then that was taped to the front of the card about 1/8" from the left edge.

The words are from the "Simply Said" set. They were stamped using Moody Mauve ink on a piece of Basic White card stock. I punched them out using the "Heartfelt Hexagon" punch. I also punched out an Early Espresso piece. I cut that piece in half and taped each half to the back of the word piece. Dimensionals were added to the back and it was set in place on the front of the card 1" from the bottom and 1/2" from the right edge. And that was it, the card was done.

Wasn't that quick and easy?  A great way to use up those strips of DSP.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's birthday card,
Wanda
