Simply Said, Wildflower Birthday, Birthday Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a bright and cheery birthday card to share with you that is so simple to make. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Peach Pie card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut two 4" x 5-1/4" pieces of Basic White card stock, one I aped to the inside and the other I taped to the outside.

The Designer Series Paper (DSP) is from the "Wildflower Birthday" 12" x 12" package. I used some scraps so my measurements may be different than you see other layouts like this. But use what you have and make it work! The upper left piece was cut at 2-1/8" x 3-1/2". The upper right piece was cut at 1-1/2" x 3-1/2" and the bottom piece was cut at 1-1/2" x 3-3/4".

I taped the layers on top of the Basic White piece. I set them on the piece first to eye the spacing and then I taped them down. Sometimes I will add just the tinniest amount of tape to the back of the pieces so they stay in place while I permanently tape them down one by one.

The cute cake slice piece was from another sheet from the same DSP package. It was trimmed to 2-3/8" x 3".  I stamped the birthday greeting on it using black Memento ink. It's from the "Simply Said" set. I probably should have used Blueberry Bliss for the words but after I thought about it, it was too late. It's still nice the way it is. The Peach Pie layer was cut at 2-5/8" x 3-1/4".  I taped the two pieces together. Dimensionals were added to the back and the piece was centered on the front of the card as much as I could by eyeing it.  And the card was done.

This was such a quick and easy card to make, plus I got to use up some smaller pieces in the package.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's birthday card,
Wanda
