The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.
I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Pool Party card stock for the layer. I textured it using the "Distressed Tile" embossing folder. I glued it to the card base.
Then I cut a 3-3/4" x 5" piece of Designer Series Paper (DPS) from the "Wildflower Birthday" 12" x 12" package. I glued it to the top of the textured Pool Party piece.
Next came the focal piece. Using the "Countryside Corners" die set I cut the second larges one using Pool Party card stock.
I took a piece of Basic White card stock and using the third largest die I cut it and then textured it using the "Distressed Tile" embossing folder. I glued the two pieces together.
The cake is from the "Wildflower Birthday" package. Dimenisonals were added to the back and it was set in place on the top of the die cut layers.
I stamped the words from the "Simply Said" set on a scrap piece of Basic White card stock using black Memento ink. I cut them out using the die from the "Heart Shaped" set. A Dimensional was added to each end and a little bit of glue was added to the stem of the cake plate. The words were set in place and the card was done.
This cake doesn't have any candles so it would be a great wedding card too (changing the colors up a bit).
I loved how quickly this card went together, it was so easy to make.
Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's birthday card,
Wanda
