The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the bottom and the fold is on the top. I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Daffodil Delight card stock for the layer. Before doing anything else to it I cut the second largest circle from the "Deckled Circles" set.
Using a 3-3/4" x 5" piece of Basic White card stock I textured it using the "Dotted Circles" embossing folder. I glued this piece to the Daffodil Delight piece and then I glued that to the front of the card.
The "hello" is from the "Simply Said" set and was stamped using black Memento ink on a piece of Basic White card stock. I cut it out using the smallest die in the "Deckled Circles" set. I taped it to the Daffodil Delight circle. Dimensionals were added to the back and it was set aside.
The cute bee piece is from last month's calendar. I didn't want to put it in recycling so it sat on my worktable for the past 12 days. Trimmed it to the Designer Series Paper (DSP) edges. It measured 2-1/4" x 3-1/8". Then I taped it to a 2-1/2" x 3-3/8" piece of Daffodil Delight card stock. Then I glued that to the front of the card. The "hello" was set in place and the card was done.
What a perfect way to use (reuse) the piece. From a calendar page to a fun, bright and cheery card.
I am pleased with how it turned out and was glad I was able to use it.
Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's friendship card,
Wanda
