Delightful Wishes, Simply Said, Heart Shaped, Birthday Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a birthday card to share with you. I found it on Pinterest but there were no instructions so I had to wing it. You can see the original card here.  Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut a 4-1/8" x 5-3/8" piece of Daffodil Delight card stock. I was planning on cutting the details of the flowers out of the center of this piece but I had already cut something from the center for a card a while ago. So I had to plan differently.

Using Old Olive I cut it at 4" x 5-1/4" and textured it using the "Distressed Tile" embossing folder. I glued it to the Daffodil Delight piece and then taped that to the front of the card base. The flowers are from the "Delightful Wishes" bundle.

Next I cut the layers on the left side. I cut a 2" x 5-1/4" piece of Daffodil Delight.  This is where I cut the flower details. The layer on top of that is a piece of Old Olive and it measures 1-7/8" x 5-1/4".  I cut the leaves from the center of that piece. And on top of that is a piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Floral Delight" 12" x 12" package. Then I taped all of those layers to the front of the card about 5/16" from the fold.

A Basic White circle was cut using a die from the "Spotlight on Nature" bundle.

I cut the solid part of the flowers using Lemon Lolly card stock. I glued the Daffodil Delight detailed pieces to the center of the flowers.

Tape was added behind the large flower and it was set in place on the circle. I didn't press down on it because I needed to be able to lift it to slip the leaf under. I added tape to two of the leaves and slipped them under the large flower.

A couple of Dimensionals are added to the smaller flower and it was set in place on the circle, overlapping the larger flower a little. Tape was added to the last leaf and it was slipped under the small flower.

The words are from the "Simply Said" set and were stamped using black Memento ink. I cut them out using the die from the "Heart Shaped" bundle. Dimensionals were added to the back and it was set in place on the front of the card.

I tied a yellow ribbon into a bow and glued it in place below the word piece. My ribbon is some retired stuff I had on hand. It matched and I went with it. It's nice to use some of this stash I have. (there's so much stash here!).

This was a fun card to make and I would love to make more. It was quick and easy to do.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's birthday card,
Wanda
