Wildflower Birthday, Get Well Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a super easy and super quick card to share with you. Much like the "Storybook Moments" 12" x 12" package of Designer Series Paper (DSP) this "Wildflower Birthday" DSP has cut outs too!  I forgot about it when the paper came. I had set it with the other packages of DSP but I didn't pay much attention to this one. The first sheet you see is lots of tiny white daisies on a Peach Pie background. It's not one of my favorite colors and that's probably the reason I hadn't picked up the package. Well, today I was looking for a certain color and when I saw this package I thought I'd take a look inside. Oh my, what have I been waiting for?  The paper inside is amazing. Plus there's two sheets of cut outs!  I didn't know where to start, my head was filled with ideas. SO I thought I'd start with one of the larger pieces. I popped out the flowers and began working on the rest of the card. Please read on to see how I put this card together.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Bubble Bath card stock for the top layer. I textured it using the "Starstruck" embossing folder. I glued this piece to the card base.

Next I added Dimensionals to the bouquet piece and set it in place on the front of the card.

I was looking for a "happy birthday" to put on the front but none of the ones I have would fit in the circle die from the "Spotlight on Nature" bundle. It needed to be that size. I did find one in the "Labeled With Love" bundle but I couldn't get the "y" to fit completely in the circle. SO, I went to my computer and printed out my wording. I knew I needed a get well card before I needed the birthday card, so that is why you are seeing get well instead of happy birthday. I used the Lucinda Handwriting font at 16 pt. I bolded it and printed it on high quality. Then I cut it out using the die from the "Spotlight on Nature" bundle. I set it in place with a few Dimensionals and the card was done.

I think it took me longer to type this up and post it than it did to make today's card. It was a fun card to make and I love how quickly it went together.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's get well card,
Wanda
