Storybook Moments, Layering Leaves, Thinking of You Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have another card using the "Storybook Moments" Designer Series Paper (DSP). I found this image very challenging and after cutting it out from the sheet full of images I set it aside to look at it until I could figure out what it was saying and this is what I came up with.  Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock and textured it using the "Distressed Tile" embossing folder. I thought it looked vintage enough to go along with the images in this package. I glued this to the front of the card base.

Both pieces of DSP are from the same sheet. There's 11 pieces to cut out of that sheet. I thought the green and tannish piece would look better on the back with the squirrel on the front. I glued them to the textured piece.

The words are from the "Layering Leaves" set and were stamped using Pecan Pie ink. I cut them out using the smallest "Deckled Rectangle" die. Dimensionals were added to the back and the piece was set in place on the upper left side of the card. And that was it.

The image had a "thinking of you" feel to it and that's where I went with it. I'm okay with how it turned out and was happier that I was able to use the piece that I thought was very difficult to work with.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's thinking of you card,
Wanda
