The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the bottom and the fold is on the top.
I cut a 4-1/8" x 5-3/8" piece of Old Olive card stock for the layer. On top of that is a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Storybook Moments" 12" x 12" package. I taped it to the Old Olive piece.
I cut a 1-3/4" x 5-1/4" piece of DSP from the "Timeless Plaid" 6" x 6" stack. I taped it to the bottom of the "Storybook Moments" piece.
A 3/4" x 5-1/4" piece of Old Olive was cut for the layer. I taped it along the top edge of the "Timeless Plaid" piece.
Then I cut the bunny from a sheet of DSP in the "Storybook Moments" package using the 3rd smallest die in the "Everyday Arches" set. Taking the next size larger I cut out the Old Olive layer. I taped the two pieces together. Dimensionals were added to the back and it was set in place on the front of the card. I made sure I didn't add any Dimensionals were the word piece was going to go so I could slip it under if needed.
I fussy cut a carrot and taped it to the arched piece.
The words are from the "Heart Shaped" bundle and were stamped using black Memento ink on a scrap piece of Basic White card stock. I cut them out using the die in that same bundle. I added tape to the back and slipped the right side under the arched layers.
I wasn't sure what I was going to do about wording on this piece. I'm thinking I'd like to make another one and make it into an Easter card with a "Happy Easter" in place of the thank you. I just thought this card was cute and I love all of these colors together. It created a warm and inviting card.
Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's thank you card,
Wanda
I love that paper but have been trying really hard not to buy it.. Love your card!
ReplyDeleteI think the name you are looking for is Linda Heller at Stamping School. Love the card, and I'm making mine for Easter, with an Easter egg in place of the carrot.
