The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.
Using the die from the "Storybook Friends" bundle I cut a frame from a piece of Basic White card stock.
The bunnies, butterfly and background piece is from the "Storybook Moments" 12" x 12" package of Designer Series Paper (DSP). The blue background piece is from a sheet that has a lot of different pieces to cut out. I cut my piece in half so I can make another card with it sometime in the future.
The large bunny and butterfly are from another sheet in that same package. They are perforated and just pop out with a little pressure. The little bunny came from yet another sheet in the package. There's a matching die to cut it out.
The original card has a all white card base. I thought it looked too bright so I thought I would take my blending brush and scrub on some Misty Moonlight ink.
I glued the blue background piece to the white frame. I added Dimensionals to the back but I didn't remove the backing. I set the piece on the front of the card to see where the wording would go. The words are also from the "Storybook Friends" bundle. I stamped them using Misty Moonlight ink.
Now it was time to set the pieces in place. I found that the Dimensionals don't like to stick well to the inked area on the card base. I added a dot of glue to the center of each Dimensional and pressed the piece in place. It's not going anywhere now!
The butterfly and bunnies were added and the card was done.
This was a very fun, quick, and easy card to make. I do like it better with the brushed blue background.
Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's friendship card,
Wanda
