The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.
I cut a 4-1/8" x 5-3/8" piece of Gorgeous Grape card stock. Before taping anything together I took the largest die from the "Everyday Details" set and cut it out from the center of the Gorgeous Grape piece. Then I cut a flower from the center of the circle piece using the die from the "Heart Shaped" bundle.
Next I stamped the heart from the "Heart Shaped" bundle using Gorgeous Grape ink. Then using the matching die I cut a heart from a piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Perennial Lavender" 12" x 12" package. I used the same design for the layer that goes on top of the Gorgeous Grape layer but before taping it to the Gorgeous Grape payer I cut a butterfly from the backside using the die from the "Sketched Butterflies" bundle. Then I taped the two layers together and then that was taped to the front of the card. So before taping you have a butterfly and a flower cut from the backside of the DSP, hope that makes sense.
After stamping the heart I cut it out using the 9th "Deckled Circles" die set. I taped this circle to the Gorgeous Grape circle and that was taped to the front of the card making equal space between the top and two sides.
A third flower was cut from a scrap piece of Highland Heather.
The words are from the "Beautiful Butterflies" and were stamped on a scrap piece of Basic White. They were cut out using the die form the "Heart Shaped" bundle. There is a die in the "Beautiful Butterflies but I thought it was a bit too long. Dimensionals were added to the back and the piece was set in place on the front of the card.
I added the die cut heart using little dots of mono glue on the leaves. The flowers on the right were added and then the butterfly.
A little bling was added to the center of the flowers and down the center of the butterfly and the card was done.
This was such a quick and easy card to make. I think it's SO pretty. And it's just in time for my daughter-in-laws birthday. Actually it's early! It's great to not be behind! Hoping to keep it that way for the rest of the year!! Wish me luck there!
This would make a great Valentine's Day card, Wedding card, and Sympathy card.
Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's birthday card,
Wanda
