Heart Shaped, Elements of Text, Happy Hibiscus, Wedding Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a beautiful card to share with you that I found on Pinterest. You can see the original card here. I did a little research on the card so I could find any instructions. There were no measurements to be found so please read on to see how I put this card together.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock, it opens on the right and the fold is on the left. I cut a 3-3/4" x 5" piece of Basic White card stock and textured it using the "Distressed Tile" embossing folder. I cut another 3-3/4" x 5" piece of Basic White card stock and using my Blending brush I scrubbed on some Balmy Blue ink. Then I stamped the words from the "Elements of Text" using black Memento ink. I took my Basic Black marker and flicked/splattered some dots all over the place. Then I tore the left side a bit. I glued this piece to the textured piece. I thought it felt a bit flimsy so I cut another piece of Basic White card stock just a hair shy of 3-3/4" x 5" and glued it to the back of the textured piece. I slipped it under my stamping mat with a book on top to keep it flat.

In the meantime I cut out the Basic White heart from the "Heart Shaped" bundle. I took another piece of Basic White card stock and scrubbed on some Granny Apple Green ink. I flicked on some Basic Black dots/splatters and cut a heart out.

The flowers were cut from a piece of card stock I had colored a few weeks back. I had used Pretty in Pink, Petal Pink, Melon Mambo, and Basic Beige inks. You just fill up a sheet of card stock with all of these fun colors and use it as needed. I still have a 1/4 sheet left to use for future card. There is a flower die in the bundle. I cut 8 flowers.

I used small Dimensionals to put the pieces on the front of the card. Using my silicone mat, I set a Dimensional on the back of the Basic White heart on the upper left and lower right. I set a flower on top of each one of those Dimensionals. I did the same to the bottom heart on the upper right part of the heart.

I set the Basic White heart on first and then the Granny Apple Green heart next. By adding the Dimensinals the way I did I was able to get the hearts to stick plus the flowers on top all in one step.

Next I added the rest of the flowers using small Dimensionals.

I colored 4 pearls using my dark Flirty Flamingo Blends pen. I set them in place on the flowers seen on the photo. Then I added three tiny pearls to the center of the remaining flowers.

The words are from the "Happy Hibiscus" bundle. I stamped them using black Memento ink on a piece of Basic White card stock. I trimmed it to 5/8" x 3" and I snipped the ends.

I took some thin gold cord and wound it around my fingers and put it in place using a Dimensional. I added the word piece by placing Dimensionals in places where they weren't on top of other Dimensionals.

I turned the piece over, added Dimensionals to the back and set it in place on the card base, and the card was done.

This was a fun card to make. It's got a lot of pieces to it but it's SO worth it. I LOVE how it turned out.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's wedding card,
Wanda
