Heart Shaped, Adventurous Sky, Birthday Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have another card to share with you from the "Heart Shaped" bundle. It's from the "Sale-a-Bration's" catalog and expires in 3 days. I thought I'd play with it again before it's unavailable.  I found this card on Pinterest. I thought it was so pretty. I couldn't find any measurements so I had to wing it. I didn't get it right but it still looks nice. You can see the original card here. Please read on to see how I put the card together with my changes.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left. I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Pecan Pie card stock for the bottom layer. On top of that is a 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" piece of Crushed Curry card stock. I taped it to the Pecan Pie piece.

Next the Designer Series Paper (DSP) is from the "Floral Delight" 12" x 12" package and it measures 3-3/4" x 5". I taped that to the Crushed Curry piece.

The center strip was done next. I cut a piece of DSP from the same package and it measures 2-1/2" x 3-7/8". Behind it is a piece of Crushed Curry that measures 2-5/8" x 4". I taped the two pieces together and then taped that to the front of the card. I didn't center mine, I moved it to the left. It's about 5/8" from the fold.

The heart was stamped next on a piece of Basic White card stock. I stamped two of them, one is Granny Apple Green stamped off once and the other is Old Olive fresh off the pad. Using the matching die I cut an Old Olive heart and I glued it on top of the stamped hearts.

The flowers and greenery was cut next. I cut three flowers using Crushed Curry card stock. Two flowered branches using Lemon Lolly, two leaves using Granny Apple Green card stock and two from Old Olive card stock.

I made a little puddle of glue on the heart and added the Lemon Lolly pieces first, then the leaves and then the flowers on top. Pearls were added to the center of the flowers.

The words are from the "Adventurous Sky" bundle and were stamped on a scrap piece of Basic White card stock using black Memento ink.  I cut them out using the die from the same bundle. I snipped off the left end, added tape to the back and slid it under the leaves.

The cute little bees are from the "Tiny Bees" trinkets container. I used mono glue to hold them in place.

Dimensionals were added to the back of the circle and it was set in place about 3/8" from the right edge and the card was done.

This was a fun card to make and even with the changes I made I still like how it looks.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's birthday card,
Wanda

Such a nice card. The paper choices, colors and the details are wonderful. Even the little bee at the end of Happy Birthday. Great card.
