The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.
On the right side of the card I stamped the bubble image. I used Pecan Pie ink that was stamped off once.
I cut a 2" x 5-1/4" piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Timeless Plaid" 6" x 6" stack. I taped it to the left side of the card base about 1/4" from the fold, top and bottom.
Using the second largest circle die in the "Stylish Shapes" set, I cut a Basic White circle. On the bottom of the circle I scrubbed some Pecan Pie ink with my Blending Brush. In the middle I scrubbed on some Lost Lagoon ink and some Boho Blue in the sky. In the "sand" I stamped some sea shells from the "Friendly Seagulls, using Pecan Pie ink.
I stamped a seagull using black Memento ink on a scrap piece of Basic White card stock. I fussy cut it out and then colored it in using my Blends Pens. I used light Smoky Slate for the feathers and Gray Granite for the band on the wing. The beak and feet were colored in using Crushed Curry. Dimensionals were added to the back.
The gull was set on the circle to see where to stamp the birds. They were stamped using black Memento ink.
The words are from the same "Friendly Seagulls" set and were stamped using black Memento ink on Basic White card stock. I used the second smallest ribbon die from the "Stylish Shapes" set. I snipped off the left side .
The circle was then taped to the center of the card and then the gull and word piece were added and the card was done.
This was a fun and quick card to make. I love playing with this set and it's going to retire soon because it's a Sale-a-Bration set and they are only available for a limited time. So I want to play with it for a while to feel like I got plenty of use out of it.
Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's friendship card,
Wanda
