Floral Delight, Bright Borders, Labeled Love, Birthday Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a quick and simple birthday card to share with you. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I used a scrap piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Floral Delight" 12" x 12" package. It measured 2" x 5" and the Pool Party layer behind it measures 2-1/4" x 5-1/4". I taped the two together and set them aside.

A 1-3/4" x 5-1/4" piece of DSP from the same package was taped to the right side, about 1/4" from the edge. Then the Pool Party layered piece was taped to the left side of the card about 1/4" from the fold.

The words are from the "Labeled Love" bundle and were stamped using Pool Party ink. The border around the words is from the "Bright Borders" bundle. I stamped it using Pool Party in and then punched it out with the matching punch.

I punched out a Pool Party piece of card stock and cut it in half. Then I taped each half to the sides of the word piece. Dimensionals were added to the back and it was set in place on the front of the card about 1" from the bottom and 3/8" from the edge.

A yellow bow was tied and glued in place. I didn't have any current ribbon so I used what I had on hand.

This was a very quick and easy card to make and I love how cheery it looks.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's birthday card,
Wanda
