Wildflower Birthday, Unbounded Love, Birthday Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a quick and easy birthday card to share with you. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left. I cut a 5-1/8" x 3-5/8" piece of Blueberry Bushel card stock for the layer.

The piece with the balloons on it is from the "Wildflower Birthday" 12" x 12" package. There's a full sheet of pieces you can cut out for layering, stamping or just leaving as is. I chose to use this piece because I loved the color of the balloons.

I stamped the words from the "Unbounded Love" bundle using black Memento ink. Then I taped this piece to the Blueberry Bushel piece and then that was taped to the card base.

The cake slice is from another sheet in the package, it's full of die cut images, you just pop them out and they are ready to use. I added Dimensionals to the back of the cake piece and set it in place on the front of the card.

A few rhinestones were colored using my light Flirty Flamingo Blends pen. They were set in place on the front of the card and the card was done.

This was such a quick card to make. I think it took me longer to type this post up than it did to make the card. One fun thing about this card is there's two sheets of each design in the package so you can make two super quick cards to send out or for your stash!

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's birthday card,

Heart Shaped, Simply Said, Birthday Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a birthday card to share with you using the "Heart Shaped"  bundle. I found it on Pinterest and I changed it a little. You can see the original card here. Please read on to see how the card was made.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut a 3-3/4" x 5" piece of Pretty in Pink card stock for the layer. On top of that is a 3-5/8" x 4-7/8" piece of Basic White card stock. When I cut the white piece I moved the edge of the card stock over the line so it was just a hair smaller than the measurements I posted. I didn't want a tiny sliver of the pink showing but I didn't want a 1/4" either. So I just cheat the line a bit on the cutter and get what I'm looking for.

I taped the pink and white piece together in the area where the circle is going to be cut out and I cut them together. I wanted to make sure they would be lined up nicely when I'm ready to glue them together. Once cut I textured the Basic White piece using the "Dotted Circles" embossing folder. I lined up the card stock on the folder so I could get it centered around the circle of dots as much as possible. Once embossed I glued it to the Pretty in Pink piece and I set it aside.

My little flowers were cut from the die in the "Heart Shaped" bundle. I cut three of them. I had made my own colored sheet of card stock using Petal Pink, Flirty Flamingo, Petunia Pop, and Pretty in Pink inks. After cutting them out I cut the leaves in the bundle using Granny Apple Green card stock.

Next I set the Pretty in Pink layered piece on top of the card base so I could see where to stamp the heart. The heart was stamped using Pretty in Pink ink. Then I cut a piece of Basic White card stock that I colored using Granny Apple Green ink and my Blending Brush. I glued the die cut heart over the stamped heart.

Dimensionals were added to the back of the Pretty in Pink piece and it was set in place on the front of the card.

The words are from the "Simply Said" set and were stamped using black Memento ink. I cut them out using the die in the "Heart Shaped" bundle. Dimensionals were added to the back of it and it was set in place on the front of the card.

I set the flowers in place using Dimensionals. I colored 3 pearls using my dark Daffodil Delight Blends pen and set them in place on the center of each flower. I glued in the Granny Apple Green leaves I cut and the card was done.

The placement of my flowers is different than the original card because my die slipped a little when I was cutting it and it didn't have complete leaves on that side. But moving the flowers to that side hid the error and I was able to use the heart. I was glad I was able to use it because I really didn't want to color another piece. (SO LAZY!  LOL)!

This was a fun card to make. I love the looks of it and I especially love the circle opening on the embossed piece.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's birthday card,

Heart Shaped, Adventurous Sky, Birthday Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have another card to share with you from the "Heart Shaped" bundle. It's from the "Sale-a-Bration's" catalog and expires in 3 days. I thought I'd play with it again before it's unavailable.  I found this card on Pinterest. I thought it was so pretty. I couldn't find any measurements so I had to wing it. I didn't get it right but it still looks nice. You can see the original card here. Please read on to see how I put the card together with my changes.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left. I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Pecan Pie card stock for the bottom layer. On top of that is a 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" piece of Crushed Curry card stock. I taped it to the Pecan Pie piece.

Next the Designer Series Paper (DSP) is from the "Floral Delight" 12" x 12" package and it measures 3-3/4" x 5". I taped that to the Crushed Curry piece.

The center strip was done next. I cut a piece of DSP from the same package and it measures 2-1/2" x 3-7/8". Behind it is a piece of Crushed Curry that measures 2-5/8" x 4". I taped the two pieces together and then taped that to the front of the card. I didn't center mine, I moved it to the left. It's about 5/8" from the fold.

The heart was stamped next on a piece of Basic White card stock. I stamped two of them, one is Granny Apple Green stamped off once and the other is Old Olive fresh off the pad. Using the matching die I cut an Old Olive heart and I glued it on top of the stamped hearts.

The flowers and greenery was cut next. I cut three flowers using Crushed Curry card stock. Two flowered branches using Lemon Lolly, two leaves using Granny Apple Green card stock and two from Old Olive card stock.

I made a little puddle of glue on the heart and added the Lemon Lolly pieces first, then the leaves and then the flowers on top. Pearls were added to the center of the flowers.

The words are from the "Adventurous Sky" bundle and were stamped on a scrap piece of Basic White card stock using black Memento ink.  I cut them out using the die from the same bundle. I snipped off the left end, added tape to the back and slid it under the leaves.

The cute little bees are from the "Tiny Bees" trinkets container. I used mono glue to hold them in place.

Dimensionals were added to the back of the circle and it was set in place about 3/8" from the right edge and the card was done.

This was a fun card to make and even with the changes I made I still like how it looks.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's birthday card,

Heart Shaped, Elements of Text, Happy Hibiscus, Wedding Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a beautiful card to share with you that I found on Pinterest. You can see the original card here. I did a little research on the card so I could find any instructions. There were no measurements to be found so please read on to see how I put this card together.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock, it opens on the right and the fold is on the left. I cut a 3-3/4" x 5" piece of Basic White card stock and textured it using the "Distressed Tile" embossing folder. I cut another 3-3/4" x 5" piece of Basic White card stock and using my Blending brush I scrubbed on some Balmy Blue ink. Then I stamped the words from the "Elements of Text" using black Memento ink. I took my Basic Black marker and flicked/splattered some dots all over the place. Then I tore the left side a bit. I glued this piece to the textured piece. I thought it felt a bit flimsy so I cut another piece of Basic White card stock just a hair shy of 3-3/4" x 5" and glued it to the back of the textured piece. I slipped it under my stamping mat with a book on top to keep it flat.

In the meantime I cut out the Basic White heart from the "Heart Shaped" bundle. I took another piece of Basic White card stock and scrubbed on some Granny Apple Green ink. I flicked on some Basic Black dots/splatters and cut a heart out.

The flowers were cut from a piece of card stock I had colored a few weeks back. I had used Pretty in Pink, Petal Pink, Melon Mambo, and Basic Beige inks. You just fill up a sheet of card stock with all of these fun colors and use it as needed. I still have a 1/4 sheet left to use for future card. There is a flower die in the bundle. I cut 8 flowers.

I used small Dimensionals to put the pieces on the front of the card. Using my silicone mat, I set a Dimensional on the back of the Basic White heart on the upper left and lower right. I set a flower on top of each one of those Dimensionals. I did the same to the bottom heart on the upper right part of the heart.

I set the Basic White heart on first and then the Granny Apple Green heart next. By adding the Dimensinals the way I did I was able to get the hearts to stick plus the flowers on top all in one step.

Next I added the rest of the flowers using small Dimensionals.

I colored 4 pearls using my dark Flirty Flamingo Blends pen. I set them in place on the flowers seen on the photo. Then I added three tiny pearls to the center of the remaining flowers.

The words are from the "Happy Hibiscus" bundle. I stamped them using black Memento ink on a piece of Basic White card stock. I trimmed it to 5/8" x 3" and I snipped the ends.

I took some thin gold cord and wound it around my fingers and put it in place using a Dimensional. I added the word piece by placing Dimensionals in places where they weren't on top of other Dimensionals.

I turned the piece over, added Dimensionals to the back and set it in place on the card base, and the card was done.

This was a fun card to make. It's got a lot of pieces to it but it's SO worth it. I LOVE how it turned out.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's wedding card,

Wildflower Birthday, Wedding Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Just like the "Storybook Moments" Designer Series Paper (DSP) this "Wildflower Birthday" package of DSP has punch-outs too. Two pages and they are beautiful. I used one two posts ago to make a get well card and today I thought I'd play with the papers again and make a wedding card. Please read on to see how I put today's card together.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Blueberry Bushel card stock for the layer. In the center of that piece I cut the shape from the center of the card stock using the "Countryside Corners" dies. I used the second largest one.

For the Basic White piece I used the third largest die and I textured it using the "Distressed Tile" embossing folder. I glued the Basic White piece to the Blueberry Bushel piece.

I cut a piece of DSP from the "Wildflower Birthday" 12" x 12" package that measures 3-3/4" x 5". I taped it to the Blueberry Bushel piece and then that was taped to the front of the card.

The cake piece was popped out from the die cut page. Dimensionals were added to the back and it was set in place on top of the Distressed Tile piece. Dimensionals were added to the back of the Blueberry Bushel piece and it was set in place on the front of the card.

I was looking through my stamps to see if I had anything with a "Mr. & Mrs." on it but no luck so I went to my computer and printed them out. I used the RGB color code to get the ink to print as close as possible to the Blueberry Bushel color. The code numbers are R=0, G=88, B=152. I printed them out on a piece of Basic White card stock. I cut them out using the second smallest circle in the "Stylish Shapes" set. The next size larger was too big for the layer so I took out my old (retired) circle die set and cut a circle just a hair larger than the word piece. I taped them together. I set them on the front of the card using Dimensionals on the right side and tape (should have been glue) on the left side. I set it in place on the front of the card and the card was done. I had a scrap of Blueberry Bushel card stock or I would have just cut the circle from the piece behind the "Distressed Tile" textured piece. I'm on a mission to use up a lot of my scraps too and trying not to make any more unless absolutely necessary.

This was such an easy and fun card to put together. I love these cut-outs and can't wait to play with them again. I need a birthday card soon and I'll see what I can come up with using these cut-outs.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's wedding card,

Friendly Seagulls, Friendship Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a card to share with you that I found on the internet. I made a few changes but for the most part it's very similar. You can see the original card here. Please read on to see how I put this card together. I just wanted to play with this "Friendly Seagulls" set again because in 6 days it will no longer be available because it's a Sale-a-Brations set.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Take to the Sky" 12" x 12" package. I taped it to the card base.

I added a 3/4" x 5-1/4" piece of vellum to the left side. I didn't want to add ribbon because it caused the card to need extra postage. Now the glue shows up on the pic but in real life it's not that noticeable.

Next I cut three 1-1/2" x 1-1/2" pieces of Basic White card stock to stamp the gulls on. They were stamped using black Memento ink. Each are layered on top of a 1-3/4" x 1-3/4" piece of Pool Party card stock. I taped them after coloring.

I colored the gulls my Blends pens. I used light Pool Party, light Smoky Slate, and dark Daffodil Delight. I used light Lemon Lolly for the fries in the one gull's mouth.  I also stamped the birds in the sky using black Memento ink.

My card varies with the placement of the squares. I laid out how they are to be on the front of the card and then I turned them over. I taped the edges together. Then I added double-sided tape to the piece(s) and set it in place on the front of the card. The original card has spaces between the squares. I did it this way because it was easier for me and I think it looks just as nice.

The words are from the "Simply Said" set and were stamped using black Memento ink. I cut them out using the second smallest die from the "Stylish Shapes" set. I added the words using Dimensionals and the card was done.

This was a very quick and easy card to make. I'm going to miss this set when it retires. It's so fun and easy to work with. There's not a lot of coloring to do on it which helps making card quicker.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's friendship card,

Wildflower Birthday, Get Well Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a super easy and super quick card to share with you. Much like the "Storybook Moments" 12" x 12" package of Designer Series Paper (DSP) this "Wildflower Birthday" DSP has cut outs too!  I forgot about it when the paper came. I had set it with the other packages of DSP but I didn't pay much attention to this one. The first sheet you see is lots of tiny white daisies on a Peach Pie background. It's not one of my favorite colors and that's probably the reason I hadn't picked up the package. Well, today I was looking for a certain color and when I saw this package I thought I'd take a look inside. Oh my, what have I been waiting for?  The paper inside is amazing. Plus there's two sheets of cut outs!  I didn't know where to start, my head was filled with ideas. SO I thought I'd start with one of the larger pieces. I popped out the flowers and began working on the rest of the card. Please read on to see how I put this card together.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Bubble Bath card stock for the top layer. I textured it using the "Starstruck" embossing folder. I glued this piece to the card base.

Next I added Dimensionals to the bouquet piece and set it in place on the front of the card.

I was looking for a "happy birthday" to put on the front but none of the ones I have would fit in the circle die from the "Spotlight on Nature" bundle. It needed to be that size. I did find one in the "Labeled With Love" bundle but I couldn't get the "y" to fit completely in the circle. SO, I went to my computer and printed out my wording. I knew I needed a get well card before I needed the birthday card, so that is why you are seeing get well instead of happy birthday. I used the Lucinda Handwriting font at 16 pt. I bolded it and printed it on high quality. Then I cut it out using the die from the "Spotlight on Nature" bundle. I set it in place with a few Dimensionals and the card was done.

I think it took me longer to type this up and post it than it did to make today's card. It was a fun card to make and I love how quickly it went together.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's get well card,
Wanda

Delightful Wishes, Simply Said, Birthday Card, Gift Card Holder, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a birthday gift card holder card to share with you. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of my card is a 1/4 sheet of Daffodil Delight card stock. On top of that is a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Old Olive card stock and on top of that is a 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Floral Delight" 12" x 12" package. I taped the layers together.

Next I cut the gift card holder piece. The main part is Basic White and it was cut at 4" x 9".  I scored it at 3" and 6" and then I folded it mountain on the left fold and valley on the right fold.

On the front I cut a 2-3/4" x 4" piece of DSP and taped it to the front of the 9" piece. That would be the left side of the piece. The words were stamped from the "Simply Said" set using Old Olive ink on a piece of Basic White card stock. I cut then out using the 3rd largest circle in the "Stylish Shapes" set. I took my Old Olive marker and using the belly part of the brush side, I went around the edge of the circle. I cut a flower from the "Delightful Wishes" bundle using Daffodil Delight card stock. The center detailed piece was cut using Crushed Curry card stock. I glued the detailed piece to the solid part of the flower. I colored some tiny crystal rhinestones using my dark Daffodil Delight Blends pen. I let them sit for a minute and then set 4 of them in place on the center of the flower. I set the circle in place on the front of the card using Dimensionals.

Now let's move on to the inside left side (the center of the piece). This is where the pocket for the gift card is going to be. I cut a 3-3/4" x 3" piece of Basic White card stock. I scored the right and left side at 1/4".  I used a circle punch to punch out the top edge so it's easier to take the gift card out. I used a 1-3/8" punch because it was what was sitting on my worktable. After cutting the top edge, I added glue to the sides and bottom edge. I set it in place on the card. On top of the holder I cut a 2-5/8" 2-1/4" piece of DSP and taped it to the front of the pocket. And that was it, the card was done.

This was a very quick and easy card to make. I love making gift card holder cards. You get both a greeting card and a gift card holder all in one. No more gift cards falling out when the card is opened.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's birthday card,

Cake Celebrations, Bloom Impressions, Simply Said, Birthday Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. I am in need of a birthday card. My sister's birthday is on the first but I will be seeing her on the 23rd so I thought I'd give her a card and gift when I see her. It's going to be nice to be ahead of the game! I found this card on the internet. I thought it was so perfect for her. You can see the original card here. Please read on to see how I put it together.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the bottom and the fold is on the top.

A 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Blackberry Bliss card stock was cut for the layer. On top of that is a piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Bloom Impressions" 12" x 12" package from the Sale-a-Brations catalog. There's SO many pretty papers in that package. I taped it to the Blackberry Bliss piece and then I taped that to the card base.

I cut the circle using a die from the "Spotlight on Nature" bundle.

The cake layers were added next. They are from the "Cake Celebrations" bundle. I stamped the bottom layer first. The bottom of that piece is 1" from the bottom of the circle. It's stamped using Petunia Pop ink that was stamped off once. Then the top layer of the cake was added stamping off once on it too. The details on the cake, the frosting was done using Petunia Pop ink straight, no stamping off.

The candles are stamped using Blackberry Bliss ink and Daffodil Delight was used to stamp the flames.

The base the cake is sitting on was cut using a die from the "Cake Celebrations" bundle using a piece of Gray Granite card stock. Using my Blending Brush I added some Gray Granite ink. I taped it in place.

Three flowers were stamped using Blackberry Bliss ink. They were cut out using the matching die. I set them in place using a Dimensional behind each one. I didn't press them down firmly, I needed to leave room to add the leaf.

In the "Cake Celebration" bundle there is a leaf, I cut one using Garden Green card stock.

The words are from the "Simply Said" set using Blackberry Bliss on a piece of Petunia Pop card stock. I used a die from the "Beautiful Butterflies" bundle. I snipped the end and set it in place on the front of the card using Dimensionals.

I added some retired embellishments to the center of the flowers and in that set were some that were a bit larger. I set them in place on the circle and that was it, the card was done.

This was a fun card to make. I love the bright colors though I think I would make the word piece smaller should I make another card in the future. And I'm SO happy that I have my sister's card done early! Such a great feeling.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's birthday card,
Wanda

Storybook Friends, Storybook Moments, Thank You Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I thought I'd play with the "Storybook Moments" and "Storybook Friends" bundle one more time before I set it aside to make some cards I need to get mailed out soon. I ran across this card on Pinterest and thought it would be fun to make. You can see the original card here. I did change it a little. Please read on to see how I put this card together.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the bottom and the fold is on the top. I sponged on some Pebbled Path ink. Yup, I used a sponge. I have not used one in a long time, not since the Blending Brushes came into being.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Cajun Craze card stock for the layer. On top of that layer is a 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" piece of Basic White. I sponged the edges here too and the are where the pieces gap under the focal pieces. I taped these two pieces together and then taped that to the card base.

On the right I cut a 1-3/4" x 3-3/4" piece of Cajun Craze card stock that I textured using the "Exposed Brick" embossing folder. I glued it on top of the Basic White layer.

On the left side I cut a piece of Cajun Craze piece that measures 3-1/8" x 3-3/4".  And the Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Storybook Moments" 12" x 12" package was cut at 3" x 3-5/8".  I taped the DSP to the Cajun Craze layer and then taped the layers to the front of the card.

Using a die from the "Perennial Postage" I cut one of Basic White and sponged on some Pebbled Path ink and one from the "Timeless Plaid" 6" x 6" stack. I taped the two pieces together, offsetting them.

The words are from the "Timeless Friends" bundle and were stamped on a Basic White oval that was sponged with the Pebbled Path ink. The oval was a leftover piece from cutting the framed die in the bundle. I stamped the words using black Memento ink. I taped it to the center of the "Timeless Plaid" piece.

I fussy cut the bunny and the flowers from a sheet of DSP in the "Storybook Moments" package. Also in that package I took out the sheet that has punch outs. I punched out the carrots and tool. I added a Dimensional to the foot and knee area of the bunny and to the greens on the carrots, tape was added to the rest of the pieces and they were set in place on the front of the card. I started with the fussy cut flowers. I taped them in place in the center (sort of) area and then the bunny was next. The carrots were added and the tool was slipped under them a bit.

A black Baker's Twine bow was tied and glued in place. I like to use Tacky glue on the twine because the mono glue absorbs through the fibers and sometimes makes the bow sticky and sticks to the inside of the envelop. That doesn't happen with Tacky glue.

I added a few retired gems to the front of the card and the card was done.

This was a fun card to make and I like how it turned out even though I didn't totally follow the original card.

Thank you SO very much for stopping in to see today's thank you card,

Storybook Friends, Storybook Moments, Friendship Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a card to share with you that I found on the internet. You can see it here. I made a couple little changes but for the most part it's like the original.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Very Vanilla card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut a 3-7/8' x 5-1/8" piece of Very Vanilla and I textured it using the "Starstruck" embossing folder. It's one of the "Sale-a-Bration" free items.  I glued the piece to the card base.

Next I cut the Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Storybook Moments" 12" x 12" package. This piece came from a sheet that has a number of other designs on it. It's a fun sheet. It's like you get a huge sampling to play with.

The Mossy Meadow framed piece was cut using a die from the "Storybook Friends" bundle. I also cut a Very Vanilla frame because I needed the center of it. I glued the Mossy Meadow frame to the center of the piece of DSP and then I taped the Very Vanilla oval in place. I added Dimensionals to the back of the DSP and set it in place on the front of the card. That piece measures 3" x 4" in case you want to use some other DSP.

The cute little mouse in the cup is from the same "Storybook Moments" DSP package. There are two sheets of cut outs there. SO many cute characters.  I set it in place using Dimenisonals.

And lastly, the words are from the same "Storybook Friends" bundle and were stamped on a scrap piece of Very Vanilla using Mossy Meadow ink. I cut them out using my scissors. The piece measures 1/2" by 1-1/2". I set it in place on top of the frame using Dimensionals.  And that was it, the card was done.

These little cut outs help make creating a card so quick and easy! Oh and not to mention cute!

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's friendship card,

Storybook Friends, Storybook Moments, Friendship Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a quick card and easy card to share with you. I found it on the Pinterest. You can see it here.  I tried to find any instructions but had no luck so please read on to see how I put this card together. When I saw this card I knew just who I was going to send it to.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

Using the die from the "Storybook Friends" bundle I cut a frame from a piece of Basic White card stock.

The bunnies, butterfly and background piece is from the "Storybook Moments" 12" x 12" package of Designer Series Paper (DSP).  The blue background piece is from a sheet that has a lot of different pieces to cut out. I cut my piece in half so I can make another card with it sometime in the future.

The large bunny and butterfly are from another sheet in that same package. They are perforated and just pop out with a little pressure. The little bunny came from yet another sheet in the package. There's a matching die to cut it out.

The original card has a all white card base. I thought it looked too bright so I thought I would take my blending brush and scrub on some Misty Moonlight ink.

I glued the blue background piece to the white frame. I added Dimensionals to the back but I didn't remove the backing. I set the piece on the front of the card to see where the wording would go. The words are also from the "Storybook Friends" bundle. I stamped them using Misty Moonlight ink.

Now it was time to set the pieces in place. I found that the Dimensionals don't like to stick well to the inked area on the card base. I added a dot of glue to the center of each Dimensional and pressed the piece in place. It's not going anywhere now!

The butterfly and bunnies were added and the card was done.

This was a very fun, quick, and easy card to make. I do like it better with the brushed blue background.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's friendship card,
Wanda

Darling Dinos, Children's Birthday Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a cute children's card to share with you that I found on the internet. You can see the original card here. I did make a few changes. Please read on to see how I put the card together.

The base of this card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Misty Moonlight card stock and textured it with the "Modern Herringbone" embossing folder. I glued it to the card base.

On the inside I stamped the "Hope you're birthday is dino-mite" using black Memento ink.

The Designer Series Paper (DSP) is from the "Timeless Plaid" 6" x 6" stack and I cut it at 3" x 3".  Behind that is a 3-1/4" x 3-1/4" piece of Pecan Pie card stock. I taped the two pieces together. Dimensionals were added to the back and it was set in place on the front of the card about 1/2" from the sides and top.

Next I stamped the dino from the "Darling Dinos" bundle using black Memento ink on a piece of Basic White card stock. I colored him in using Blends pens. I used both light and dark Crumb Cake. Light Misty Moonlight, and light Pecan Pie. It was then punched out using the 2-3/8" punch. Dimensionals were added to the back. Before setting it in place I die cut a ribbon piece from the "Stylish Shapes" set using Boho Blue card stock. I stamped the pebbles image using Boho Blue ink. I cut the piece in half and taped it to the front of the card about 3/4" from the edge of the Pecan Pie piece. the top is hanging over about 3/8" from the Pecan Pie edge. The dino was then set in place.

The words were stamped using black Memento ink on a piece of Crumb Cake card stock.. I cut them out using the ribbon die from the "Stylish Shapes" set. I set this piece in place on the front of the card using Dimensionals. It's about 5/8" from the bottom edge and equal space on the ends.

I used some retired "Candy Dots" for the embellishments and the card was done.

This was a fun, easy and super cute card to make.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's children's card,

Heart Shaped, Sketched Butterflies, Beautiful Butterflies, Birthday Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. I found a pretty birthday card on Pinterest and I thought I'd like to give it a try. It's pretty simple to do! You can see the original card here. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut a 4-1/8" x 5-3/8" piece of Gorgeous Grape card stock. Before taping anything together I took the largest die from the "Everyday Details" set and cut it out from the center of the Gorgeous Grape piece. Then I cut a flower from the center of the circle piece using the die from the "Heart Shaped" bundle.

Next I stamped the heart from the "Heart Shaped" bundle using Gorgeous Grape ink. Then using the matching die I cut a heart from a piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Perennial Lavender" 12" x 12" package. I used the same design for the layer that goes on top of the Gorgeous Grape layer but before taping it to the Gorgeous Grape payer I cut a butterfly from the backside using the die from the "Sketched Butterflies" bundle. Then I taped the two layers together and then that was taped to the front of the card. So before taping you have a butterfly and a flower cut from the backside of the DSP, hope that makes sense.

After stamping the heart I cut it out using the 9th "Deckled Circles" die set. I taped this circle to the Gorgeous Grape circle and that was taped to the front of the card making equal space between the top and two sides.

A third flower was cut from a scrap piece of Highland Heather.

The words are from the "Beautiful Butterflies" and were stamped on a scrap piece of Basic White. They were cut out using the die form the "Heart Shaped" bundle. There is a die in the "Beautiful Butterflies but I thought it was a bit too long. Dimensionals were added to the back and the piece was set in place on the front of the card.

I added the die cut heart using little dots of mono glue on the leaves. The flowers on the right were added and then the butterfly.

A little bling was added to the center of the flowers and down the center of the butterfly and the card was done.

This was such a quick and easy card to make. I think it's SO pretty. And it's just in time for my daughter-in-laws birthday. Actually it's early! It's great to not be behind! Hoping to keep it that way for the rest of the year!! Wish me luck there!

This would make a great Valentine's Day card, Wedding card, and Sympathy card.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's birthday card,

Heart Shaped, Valentine's Day Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I did get the Valentine's Day card made for my mom. I found one on Pinterest that I liked, you can see it by clicking here. I changed it a bit and used items that I have on hand. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Petunia Pop card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut a 2-1/2" x 5-1/4" piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Timeless Plaid" 6" x 6" stack.  I taped it to the left side of the card leaving a 1/4" border on the top, bottom and side.

A 3" x 4-1/4" piece of Blackberry Bliss card stock was cut for the layer. On top of that is a 2-3/4" x 4" piece of Basic White for the focal point.

I stamped the heart from the "Heart Shaped" bundle using Soft Sea Foam ink. Using the matching heart die I cut the heart from the same colored piece of DSP in the "Timeless Plaid" stack. I added little dots of glue to the leaves and set it in place over the Soft Sea Foam stamped image.

Three flowers were cut, two from Petunia Pop and one from Blackberry Bliss card stock. I glued them in place on the side of the heart. I wasn't sure what I was going to put in the centers. I needed something low because I didn't want to pay extra postage to mail it. I ended up using some retired sequins I had. I also glued a couple of them to the outside of the heart.

The words were done on my computer because I didn't have any sets with those words. I cut them out using the die from the same "Heart Shaped "bundle. I snipped off the ends because it was a bit too long, which is too bad because it's such a pretty die. Dimensionals were added to the back and it was set in place under the heart.

Dimensionals were added to the whole piece and it was centered on the front of the card and the card was done.

The card has a soft subtle look and I'm sure my mom will love it.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's Valentine's Day card,

Storybook Moments, Storybook Friends, Easter Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a pretty card I found on Pinterest. You can see the original card here. I changed a few things because I was using what I had.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left. I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Lost Lagoon for the largest layer. On top of that is a 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" piece of Pretty Peacock card stock. Before taping the layers together I die cut pieces from the middle. I cut the heart using the die from the "Heart Shaped" bundle and the word piece from the "Stylish Shapes" set using the Lost Lagoon piece. Using the Pretty Peacock piece I cut the little flower from the "Heart Shaped" bundle, the long ribbon behind the word piece using the "Stylish Shapes" set and the smallest "Deckled Circle" die was used for the circle behind the bunny.

With all of the pieces cut then the layers were taped together. On top of them is a 3-3/4" x 5" piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Storybook Moments" 12" x 12" package.

I taped the Lost Lagoon heart with both the outline piece and the center piece. It's taped about 1-1/8" from the top and centered as much as you can by eyeing it. On top of that piece is two heart shaped frame pieces cut using the same die. I used the DSP from the "Timeless Plaid" 6" x 6" stack. One is from the brownish sheet and one from the bluish sheet.

I taped the circle to the center of the heart. The bunny is from the "Storybook Moments" DSP. It came from a full sheet of punched out images. (SO cute!). I added Dimensionals to the back of the bunny and set it in place on the heart.

Next I stamped the words from the "Storybook Friends" bundle using black Memento ink on the Lost Lagoon ribbon piece and I taped the long Pretty Peacock piece to the back of it. Dimensionals were added to the back and it was set in place on the lower part of the card.

The little flower was glued in place and I used a retired "Candy Dot" in the center of the flower. I'm just trying to use up the embellishments that I have sitting around here. And that was it, the card was done.

As I'm making this card I'm thinking to myself "Valentine's Day is coming soon". I looked at the calendar and up, it's on Sunday. I need to make a card to sent to my mom. UGH!  Nothing like being behind so early in the year! Why am I making an Easter card instead of a Valentine's Day card?  Because I was not paying attention to the days!  So tomorrow I will share the card I made for my mom.

Today's card was fun to make and I just LOVE the rich looking colors.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's Easter card,

Storybook Moments, Storybook Friends, Simply Said, Birthday Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a card to share with you that I found on Pinterest. I forgot to save the link to this card and I tried to search for it but I can no longer find it. Please read on to see how I put the card together.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the bottom and the fold is on the top.

I cut a 4-1/8" x 5-3/8" piece of Boho Blue for the layer. Before taping it to the front of the card I cut the beautiful framed piece using the die from the "Storybook Friends" bundle. I set it aside.

Next I cut the Designer Series Paper (DSP) strips from the "Timeless Plaid" 6" x 6" stack.  They measure 1" x 5-1/8".  I cut two. I taped one to the upper part of the Boho Blue piece and the other to the bottom. I the center is a 1-1/2" piece of Crumb Cake card stock.

Once the pieces were taped in place I glued on the Boho Blue framed piece.

The cute critter was cut out of a piece of DSP from the "Storybook Moments" 12" x 12" package. I added tape to the back and set it in place in the center of the frame.

The words came next. The are from the "Simply Said" set and were stamped using Pecan Pie ink.

I added a couple of enamel dots that I had and I tied a hemp bow and glued it to the upper part of the frame. And the card was done.

This is a super quick and easy card to make. I'm SO loving this "Storybook Moments" and "Storybook Friends" bundle. I can't wait to play with it some more. It's those beautiful frames that really make the card.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's birthday card,

Friendly Seagulls, Friendship Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a card to share with you that I found on Pinterest. I changed it a bit but the focal piece is close to the same. You can see that card here. Please read on to see how I put it together.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

On the right side of the card I stamped the bubble image. I used Pecan Pie ink that was stamped off once.

I cut a 2" x 5-1/4" piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Timeless Plaid" 6" x 6" stack.  I taped it to the left side of the card base about 1/4" from the fold, top and bottom.

Using the second largest circle die in the "Stylish Shapes" set, I cut a Basic White circle. On the bottom of the circle I scrubbed some Pecan Pie ink with my Blending Brush. In the middle I scrubbed on some Lost Lagoon ink and some Boho Blue in the sky. In the "sand" I stamped some sea shells from the "Friendly Seagulls, using Pecan Pie ink.

I stamped a seagull using black Memento ink on a scrap piece of Basic White card stock. I fussy cut it out and then colored it in using my Blends Pens. I used light Smoky Slate for the feathers and Gray Granite for the band on the wing. The beak and feet were colored in using Crushed Curry. Dimensionals were added to the back.

The gull was set on the circle to see where to stamp the birds. They were stamped using black Memento ink.

The words are from the same "Friendly Seagulls" set and were stamped using black Memento ink on Basic White card stock. I used the second smallest ribbon die from the "Stylish Shapes" set. I snipped off the left side .

The circle was then taped to the center of the card and then the gull and word piece were added and the card was done.

This was a fun and quick card to make. I love playing with this set and it's going to retire soon because it's a Sale-a-Bration set and they are only available for a limited time. So I want to play with it for a while to feel like I got plenty of use out of it.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's friendship card,

Unbounded Love, Splendid Autumn, Masculine Birthday Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a masculine birthday card to share with you. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Cajun Craze card stock for the layer.

The top layer is a 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" piece of Basic White card stock. Using the "Everyday Arches" die, I centered it on the piece and then cut it out. Then I textured it using the "Distressed Tile" embossing folder.

The scenic piece is from the "Splendid Autumn" 6" x 6" stack and was cut to 3-3/4" x 5". I laid the textured piece over it where it needed to go and then stamped the words from the "Unbounded Love" bundle using black Memento ink.

I glued the textured piece to the scenic piece and then taped that to the Cajun Craze piece. Then that was taped to the card base and the card was done.

This was such a quick and easy way to make a wonderful masculine birthday card. I had the word "pretty" in place of "wonderful" but switched it out because pretty and masculine didn't really go so well together! LOL  Anyway, I like the looks of this card. I think it would also make a great sympathy card.

Thank you SO much for taking your time to stop in and see today's masculine birthday card,

Heart Shaped, Simply Said, Stylish Shapes, Birthday Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. I ran across a card on Pinterest that I really liked but didn't have any of those supplies at all. Plus it's a square card and I don't make square cards. One they intimidate me and two I don't have envelopes for square cards. Though I could use the "Book" technique and work a square into that but I didn't to go that route either. So I gave it some thought, took out some supplies and this is what I came up with. You can see the card that inspired this one by clicking here.  Please read on to see how I made todays card.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the bottom and the fold is on the top.

I cut a 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" piece of Basic White card stock for the top layer. I scored it on the back at 3/8" from the edge all around and then 1/2" all around.

The circle in the middle came next. I used the third largest circle in the "Stylish Shapes" set. In making it the score lines got a little squished so I rescored them.

For the background piece I used some paper that I had made on January 23rd.  You can see that information by clicking here.  I had scrubbed on several colors of inks on a full sheet of card stock. I still have a lot of it left so I thought I'd use it for this card since I didn't have any background paper that I liked or that would work for this card.  I cut a 2-1/2" x 2-1/2" piece of that paper and taped it to the back of the scored piece making sure it all covered the circle.

I took the circle that I had cut out and cut the second smallest circle from the same "Stylish Shapes" set. I didn't have a use for that circle, plus I had a lot of other ones in my stash.

Next came the fun part. Using that same colored card stock I die cut the flowers. The flowers on the green stems were cut from Basic White card stock (I cut 2) and colored the stems with my light Granny Apple Green Blends pen and the petals with Petal Pink. I also die cut some leaves using Granny Apple Green card stock. I cut 3 sets. The die has two leaves on it. The flowers and leaves are from the "Heart Shaped" bundle.

The words are from the "Simply Said" set and were stamped using black Memento ink on a piece of Basic White card stock. I cut them out using the die from the "Heart Shaped" bundle.

I began adding the flowers. I started with the ones I colored using my Blends pens. Then the other flowers were added, going around the circle. I had glued them in place. Then I glued the leaves. Once I had enough flowers on the circle (there's 7 clustered there) I added glue to the word piece and set it on the front of the card. I made sure the top edge of it was almost centered. I put one last flower near the "H" and added a few more leaves.

Small pearls were added to the center of the flowers and 7 more on the outside of the circle.

The piece was then glued to the card base. My pic looks like the corners are bent but it's because the glue was still wet when I took the photo. Once the glue dried it looked a lot better.

This was such a fun card to make and I think I may just have to keep it because I REALLY like it.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's birthday card,

Floral Delight, Bright Borders, Labeled Love, Birthday Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a quick and simple birthday card to share with you. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I used a scrap piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Floral Delight" 12" x 12" package. It measured 2" x 5" and the Pool Party layer behind it measures 2-1/4" x 5-1/4". I taped the two together and set them aside.

A 1-3/4" x 5-1/4" piece of DSP from the same package was taped to the right side, about 1/4" from the edge. Then the Pool Party layered piece was taped to the left side of the card about 1/4" from the fold.

The words are from the "Labeled Love" bundle and were stamped using Pool Party ink. The border around the words is from the "Bright Borders" bundle. I stamped it using Pool Party in and then punched it out with the matching punch.

I punched out a Pool Party piece of card stock and cut it in half. Then I taped each half to the sides of the word piece. Dimensionals were added to the back and it was set in place on the front of the card about 1" from the bottom and 3/8" from the edge.

A yellow bow was tied and glued in place. I didn't have any current ribbon so I used what I had on hand.

This was a very quick and easy card to make and I love how cheery it looks.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's birthday card,

Storybook Moments, Layering Leaves, Thinking of You Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have another card using the "Storybook Moments" Designer Series Paper (DSP). I found this image very challenging and after cutting it out from the sheet full of images I set it aside to look at it until I could figure out what it was saying and this is what I came up with.  Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock and textured it using the "Distressed Tile" embossing folder. I thought it looked vintage enough to go along with the images in this package. I glued this to the front of the card base.

Both pieces of DSP are from the same sheet. There's 11 pieces to cut out of that sheet. I thought the green and tannish piece would look better on the back with the squirrel on the front. I glued them to the textured piece.

The words are from the "Layering Leaves" set and were stamped using Pecan Pie ink. I cut them out using the smallest "Deckled Rectangle" die. Dimensionals were added to the back and the piece was set in place on the upper left side of the card. And that was it.

The image had a "thinking of you" feel to it and that's where I went with it. I'm okay with how it turned out and was happier that I was able to use the piece that I thought was very difficult to work with.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's thinking of you card,

Storybook Moments, Heart Shaped, Thank You card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a thank you card to share with you. I found it on Pinterest but I forgot to bookmark it and searching in my history yielded nothing, I had gone too many places. So if you know who made this card, please let me know so I can edit my post and give them credit. So for now, please read on to see how the card was made.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the bottom and the fold is on the top.

I cut a 4-1/8" x 5-3/8" piece of Old Olive card stock for the layer. On top of that is a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Storybook Moments" 12" x 12" package. I taped it to the Old Olive piece.

I cut a 1-3/4" x 5-1/4" piece of DSP from the "Timeless Plaid" 6" x 6" stack. I taped it to the bottom of the "Storybook Moments" piece.

A 3/4" x 5-1/4" piece of Old Olive was cut for the layer. I taped it along the top edge of the "Timeless Plaid" piece.

Then I cut the bunny from a sheet of DSP in the "Storybook Moments" package using the 3rd smallest die in the "Everyday Arches" set. Taking the next size larger I cut out the Old Olive layer. I taped the two pieces together. Dimensionals were added to the back and it was set in place on the front of the card. I made sure I didn't add any Dimensionals were the word piece was going to go so I could slip it under if needed.

I fussy cut a carrot and taped it to the arched piece.

The words are from the "Heart Shaped" bundle and were stamped using black Memento ink on a scrap piece of Basic White card stock. I cut them out using the die in that same bundle. I added tape to the back and slipped the right side under the arched layers.

I wasn't sure what I was going to do about wording on this piece. I'm thinking I'd like to make another one and make it into an Easter card with a "Happy Easter" in place of the thank you. I just thought this card was cute and I love all of these colors together. It created a warm and inviting card.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's thank you card,

Delightful Wishes, Simply Said, Birthday Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a quick and easy birthday card to share with you. Please read on to see how the card was made.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock, once cut on the short side it measures 4-1/4" x 11".  The fold is on the top and it opens on the bottom.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock using the "Textured Tile" embossing folder to texture it. I glued it to the front of the card base.

Next I cut a piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Floral Delight" 12" x 12" package, it measures 2" x 4". I glued that to the front of the card. Originally I thought I was gluing it to the bottom of the card but I didn't pay attention to the orientation of the card and it ended up being glued to the top.

I cut another piece of the DSP from the same package, it measures 1/4" x 4". I glued that on top of the other piece of DSP.

The floral image is from the "Delightful Wishes" bundle. I stamped the stem first using Pecan Pie ink. The flowers were stamped using Lemon Lolly ink and the details on the flowers were stamped using Daffodil Delight ink. Old Olive was used for the leaves. I cut them out using the "Countryside Corners" die set. I took my Old Olive marker and colored around the edges using the belly of the marker. You can also set the piece down and trace it on a piece of scrap paper. I set the piece in place on top of the card about 5/8" from the top and right side.

The words were stamped next using the "Simply Said" set and Old Olive ink on a scrap piece of Basic White card stock. I cut them out using the third largest circle in the "Stylish Shapes" set. I used tape on the right side where it lays on the "Countryside Corners" piece and Dimensionals on the sides that touch the "Distressed Tile" part.

I stamped the flower from the same "Delightful Wishes" bundle. I used Lemon Lolly for the solid part. I stamped it twice and I used Daffodil Delight for the details, I stamped that twice too. It's too bad I didn't think of that on the other flowers, the details would have been much better. I cut the flower out using the matching die. I stamped the leaf image using Old Olive ink and cut it out as well. I added a Dimensional behind the flower and stuck the leaf to it and then set it in place on the circle. And the card was done.

This was a fun card to make even if the DSP was at the top instead of the bottom.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's birthday card,

Friendly Seagulls, Friendship Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a card to share with you that I found on Pinterest. I changed it just a little. You can see the original card here. Please read on to see how I put it together.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

For the layers I cut a 4-1/2" x 2-3/4" piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Timeless Plaid" 6" x 6" stack.

The next piece cut was the Basic White one that measures 3" x 3-3/4". I textured it using the Sale-a-Bration "Starstruck" embossing folder.

Another piece of DSP from the same package was cut at 1-1/2" x 3".  I glued this to the textured piece. Then I glued that to the large piece of DSP. Make sure you don't put any glue on 5/8" of the right side.

I cut a stitched circle using the 3rd die in the "Stylish Shapes" set. I glued that to the front of the card about 1-1/2" from the top edge of the card base.

The gull from the "Friendly Seagulls" set was stamped using black Memento ink on Basic White card stock. I fussy cut it out and then colored it using my light Pumpkin Pie Blends pen for the beak and feet, dark Daffodil Delight for the fries, light Smoky Slate for the wings and tail feathers and light Gray Granite for the strips on the wings. I usually color first and then cut because if I mess it up coloring I didn't waste any time cutting. But I broke with my usual MO and cut first. I taped the gull to the circle about 1/4" from the bottom edge of the circle.

The words were typed on my computer using "Candy Buzz BTN font at 18pt. in bold.  I printed it out on Basic White card stock. I cut them into strips and snipped them on each end. I glued them in place on the front of the card and the card was done. I didn't add any embellishments because I'm sending this off in the mail and I didn't want to pay any extra postage.

I REALLY like this layout and I'm thinking how fun this would be for my Christmas cards this year. I want to get an early start on them because I end up waiting too long and then I'm late in getting them out and I'm adding to the stress of the holiday. SO hopefully I can get some make ahead of time and lessen the stress. Wish me luck on that task! LOL

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's friendship card,

Storybook Moments, Choose Happy, Heart Shaped, Friendship Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I found an adorable card on Pinterest that I just had to make.  You can see that card here. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Crumb Cake card stock. A 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Crumb Cake card stock was cut for the layer. I used the blade of my scissors to scrap along the edges to give it a rough raised look.

The Designer Series Paper (DSP) is from the "Storybook Moments" 12" x 12" package. I cut it at 303/4" x 5". I taped it to the Crumb Cake layer piece and then I taped that to the card base.

Next I cut another piece of DSP from the same package. It measures 2-1/2" x 3-3/4". I taped it to a  2-1/4" x 4" piece of Basic Black card stock. I taped that to the front of the card.

Next came the fence. It's from the same DSP package, there's 2 sheets o
f punch out images. I trimmed some Dimensional pieces and added them to the ends of the fence and a strip in the middle.

The plant was added next and then the duck. I added a Dimensional to the bottom of the plant and one to the top of the head of the duck.

The "hello" is from the "Choose Happy" set and was stamped on a scrap piece of Basic White card stock using black Memento ink. I cut it out using the die from the "Heart Shaped" bundle. The piece is about 1-3/4" long. I added a Dimensional to each end and slipped it under the duck's neck area.  I added a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White to the inside of the card.  And that was it, the card was done.

This was such a fun card to make. I love how colorful it is and the characters are so much fun to play with.

Thank you SO much for taking your time to stop in and see today's friendship card find,

Storybook Moments, Simply Said, Birthday Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a cute card to share with you that I found on Pinterest. You can see that card here. Please read on to see how the card was made.

The base of the card is a half-sheet of Crumb Cake card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut a 4-1/8" x 5-3/8" piece of Boho Blue card stock for the layer. On top of that is a 4" x 5-1/4"piece of DSP from the "Timeless Plaid" 6" x 6" stack. There's a lot of fun colors in this package.

Using the "Storybook Moments" 12" x 12" package of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from a sheet in there that's got all punch out characters. Aren't they adorable? This one used 5 of them.

For my card I cut a slit in the wheelbarrow so the duck would sit in it more than just be on top. And I also changed the word piece. I used the new "To the Point Label" punch on a scrap piece of Boho Blue card stock. I used my Blending Brush to scrub on some Boho Blue ink. I did this because I didn't use the punch on a scrap piece of card stock and it left an oil mark so to cover it I just "colored" it.

The words were stamped using black Memento ink on a piece of Basic White card stock.  I used the second smallest rectangle from the "Nested Essentials" die set to cut them out. I added Dimensionals to the back and set it on top of the Boho Blue piece. Then I taped that to the front of the card.

The cut out pieces were added using Dimensionals. And for a final touch I added some colored (retired) "Candy Dots" to the front and the card was done.

This was such a fun card to make. There's two sheets so I can make another one sometime in the future (maybe LOL).

Thank you SO very much for taking your time for stopping in and seeing today's birthday card,

Bee Mine, Calendar Page, Weekend Project, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have the February calendar page to share with you. It's fun making these and they go together so much quicker than a card. I figured I would use the image later on a card. I'm planning on doing that with my January calendar. You can see that one here. I got the template for the calendar months at "My Stamping Addiction". The download for the calendar is just under the title of her blog. She has a lot of beautiful cards there too, so if you stop in have a look a round.  Please read on to see how the card was made.

I trimmed my piece to 4-7/8" x 3-3/8". The top part measures a hair shy of 2-1/2 from the top of the month to the top edge.

I cut a piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Bee Mine" 12" x 12" package and taped it to the top part of the calendar page.

Next I cut three bees from another sheet of DSP. I set them in place using Dimensionals. I even cut out a tiny little heart and covered the 14.  And that was it.

This was so quick and simple and yet here I am waiting till the last minute to get it made!

Thank you SO much for taking your time to stop in and see today's calendar page,
