Spotlight on Nature, Thank You Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a thank you card to share with you. I found a card on Pinterest using this layout so I thought I'd give it a try. You can see that card here. There were no measurements so please read on to see how it was made.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left. I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock for the top layer. I textured it using the "Dotted Circles" embossing folder. I glued it to the front of the card. Tape doesn't seem to stick as well when there's lots of space on the back that doesn't touch the card base. I just play it safe and glue it.

Next I die cut the circles. They are from the "Spotlight on Nature" bundle. I cut the largest one using Basic Black card stock and the one with the dashes and dots was cut using Basic White card stock.

Using the bunch of leaves in the "Spotlight on Nature" set I stamped them twice using black Memento ink.

The butterfly was stamped on a scrap piece of Basic White card stock using black Memento ink. I colored it in using both light and dark Flirty Flamingo Blends pens. I fussy cut it out. Dimensionals were added to the back and the piece was set aside.

The circles were taped together and then glued to the front of the card. Then the butterfly was added. A checkered bow was tied and glued to the front.

The words are from the same bundle and were stamped on a scrap piece of Basic White card stock. I trimmed it to 1-5/8" x 1-3/4". I angled the ends. Dimensionals were added to the back and it was set in place on the front of the card.

A few rhinestones were colored using the dark Flirty Flamingo Blends pen and set in place on the front of the card and the card was done.

This was a fun and easy card to make. I like playing with this set, especially the dies!

Thank you SO much for stopping by to see today's thank you card,
Wanda
