The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.
I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Azure Afternoon card stock for the layer. I haven't used that color much at all and I don't know why, it's SO pretty. I taped this piece to the card base.
A 3-3/4" x 5" piece of Basic White was cut for the focal piece. On that piece the "sand" and birds in the background will be stamped but first I had to stamp and fussy cut the bird and fries so I knew where I'd be adding the "sand" and the birds in the sky.
I stamped the seagull and two fries using black Memento ink. I fussy cut them and then colored them. I used my Blending pens for the coloring all in the lights. Lemon Lolly for the fries and the buns (?) on the front of the fry package, Pecan Pie for what is between the buns, and Azure Afternoon for the fry boxes.
Gray Granite was used for the birds wings, Pumpkin Pie for the beak and feet, and Lemon Lolly for the fries in the birds mouth.
I laid the pieces on the front of the card for placement, removed them and scrubbed in some Gray Granite ink using my Blending brush, then the "sand" was added using Pecan Pie ink that was stamped off once then stamped on the card front and stamped one more time. When I though it looked full enough I stopped.
The bird and fries were added using Dimensionals.
The words were done on my computer. I used Freehand471 BT font at size16. I bolded the words and printed it in black ink on Basic White card stock. I cut them out using the die from the "Stylish Shapes" set. Using my Blending brush and Azure Afternoon ink I lightly added a little color to the edges of the word piece. Then I set it in place using Dimensionals. And the card was done.
This was a fun card to make, even with the fussy cutting!
Thank you SO much for taking your time to stop in and see today's thank you card,
Wanda
