Friendly Seagulls, Thank You Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a thank you card to share with you using the new "Friendly Seagulls" set that I got free in my Sale-A-Bration order. I found a card on Pinterest that I liked so I followed it with a few changes. You can see that card here.  Please read on to see how I made today's card.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

The top layers were cut, taped together and then taped to the front of the card. I cut the Pebble Path piece at 5-3/8" x 4-1/8" and the Lost Lagoon piece at 5-1/4" x 4".

The Basic White layer was cut at 3-3/4" x 5". I had typed my words on the computer and printed them out on the Basic White card stock and then I cut it.

I had stamped the seagull on the Basic White piece but ended up stamping another one on a scrap piece of Basic White card stock and fussy cut it out. I colored the fries using my Daffodil Delight marker, the beak and feet using my Pumpkin Pie marker and the highlights on the gull using my Smoky Slate marker. Dimensionals were added to the back and I set the piece aside.

I masked off the side and bottom of the left area of the card so I could scrub on some Lost Lagoon ink with my Blending Brush.

Next I took my Pebble Path ink pad (I used a cube) and dragged it across a 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" piece of Basic White card stock (only because I was making more than one of these cards but you can use a scrap piece). The piece was cut at 1" x ?. I used a "?" because the length will vary depending on where the bottom of your Lost Lagoon is. My piece is 1" x 2-3/16", I taped it to the front of the card. Then I took a 1/2" x 1-1/2" piece and set it in place using Dimensionals.

Now the gull was ready to set in place and the card was done.

This was a fun card to make once I got the words set up on the computer so they would print were I wanted them to.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's thank you card,
Wanda
