Delightful Wishes, Unbounded Love, Birthday Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a spring looking birthday card to share with you. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Old Olive for the layer.

The Designer Series Paper (DSP) is from the "Floral Delight" 12" x 12" package. I cut two pieces at 3-3/4" x 5" and then I cut them at an angle.  I cut the left side at about 1" down from the upper corner and on the right side about 3-3/4" down. When you do a card like this you can make two cards at one time! I taped the DSP to the Old Olive piece and then that was taped to the card base.

Next came the stamping. The Basic White card stock was cut at 2-3/4" x 2-3/4". I used the stamps from the "Delightful Wishes" bundle. The flowers petals were stamped using Lemon Lolly and the outlines were stamped using Daffodil Delight. The stem was stamped using Pecan Pie ink and the leaves were stamped using Old Olive ink.

The words are from the "Unbounded Love" bundle and were stamped using Old Olive ink. I cut a 3" x 3" piece of Old Olive for the layer.

I didn't like the look of the line where the two pieces of DSP met so I took a scrap piece of the DSP and taped it over the seam. My DSP was cut at 4" x 6" and after I had trimmed it down there were thin strips left so I thought I would use those instead of looking for something else to cut and tape on. One of the strips were not long enough so I ended up cutting it in pieces and taped them over the seam on the outer sides. The word piece covered the part that wasn't taped. I trimmed the edges at an angle before I taped them in place.

Dimensionals were added to the back of the word piece and it was taped in place on the front of the card.

I glued on a bee from the  "Tiny Bee Trinkets" container. I also added a couple of crystal rhinestones that I had colored using the dark Lemon Lolly Blends pen. And that was it, the card was done.

I though it was a fun card to make and the bonus is that I got two card done so fast!

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's birthday card,
Wanda
