Sparkling Snowflakes, One of a Kind, Christmas Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a simple looking Christmas card to share with you. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Balmy Blue card stock. Did you notice I didn't use Basic White for the card base? I step out of my box now and them for a card or two! I usually use Basic White to save on card stock because of the cost and I will use a color for a back layer. I could have done that too but the layer would not have shown very much, just a sliver (about 1/8"). So I decided to use a half-sheet instead. Okay, so where were we. Oh, the card base. I cut two 4" x 5-1/4" pieces of Basic White card stock, one for the inside and one for the front. I taped the one to the inside.

I took the piece for the front and scrubbed on some Balmy Blue ink using my Blending Brush. I tried to make it into somewhat of a circle, leaving the center lighter than the outer part.

The snowflakes were cut using the die from the "One of a Kind" bundle. I cut 7 of them using Basic White card stock. I took a 1-1/2" circle I had punched and set it on the the center of the piece and I added the snowflakes one by one using some mono glue.

Then the words were stamped using Balmy Blue ink. They are from the "Sparkling Snowflakes" set. And I called the card done.

I think I could have centered it better and I think it could use some finesse. Maybe I'll work on that in a few days. It's so busy with all the things I need to get done for Christmas eve (which is only 4 days away -YIKES!).

I thank you SO much for taking your time to stop in and see today's Christmas card,
Wanda
