Sophisticated Sled, Snowy Scenes, Christmas Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a snowman Christmas card to share with you. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Balmy Blue card stock for the layer. 

Next came the piece of Basic White card stock, I started out with a 4-1/4" x 5-1/2".  . I took a scrap piece of card stock and die cut a circle using the 5th smallest "Deckled Circles" die set. I used that piece as a stencil. I took my Blending Brush and scrubbed on some Balmy Blue ink in that circle on the quarter sheet of Basic White card stock. I set that template to the lower right on the piece. Once I had the color to my liking I removed the template. Then I textured it using the "Snowflake Sky" embossing folder.  It was then trimmed to 3-3/4" x 5".I glued it to the Balmy Blue piece and then I taped that to the front of the card.

I fussy cut a snowman from the "Snowy Scenes" 12" x 12" package of Designer Series Paper (DSP). I set it in place on the circle using Dimensionals. 

The words are from the "Sophisticated Sled" bundle and were stamped using Balmy Blue ink. I cut them out using a die from the "Greetings of the Season" bundle. I traced around it using my Balmy Blue marker, the edge needed just a hit of color so it would stand out against the white background. I set the piece in place using Dimensionals. I made sure one covered the back of the tag hole. A snowflake is going to go there to hide it. 

Snowflakes from the "White Loose Snowflakes" container were added using glue. And the card was done.

This was such a fun card to make and I do like how it turned out. It's got a simple look to it too.
