The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock.
I cut a 4" x 1-3/8" piece of Basic White and I tore the top part to make a layer of snow. I taped that to the bottom of the card, leaving 1/4" on the bottom and two sides. Don't press hard on the part where the snowman will go, you are going to need some space to slip him in.
I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Snowy Scenes" 12" x 12" package. I used the die from the "Around the Bend" bundle to cut the curve. I thought this die looked like it had small snowballs on it so I ran with it. I lined up the die about 1/2" from the bottom of the DSP and 1-1/4" down from the upper right side. It doesn't have to be exact. It will depend on what image you use in the open area. I used tape on the solid part and a line of glue along the lower edge. I set it in place on the front of the card.
The snowman was next. He's from the "Snowy Scenes" package of DSP. I used the matching die in the "Snowy Wonder" bundle to cut him out. Though he is easy enough to fussy cut out. I added tape to the back and slipped him under the torn layer.
The words are from the "Christmas Labels" bundle and were stamped using Pool Party ink. I cut them using the matching die. Dimensionals were added to the back and it was set in place on the front of the card.
Here's something fun to share with you. I took some of the "White Loose Snowflakes" and colored them using my light Pool Party Blends Pen. I added some white ones to the upper part of the card and the colored ones to the lower part. I used glue to set them in place. Above the snowman I stacked a small one on top of the larger one for a different look. And that was it, the card was done.
This was a fun card to make and I like how it creates a feeling of calm.
