Snowy Scenes, Christmas Labels, Christmas Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a whimsical Christmas card to share with you. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the bottom and the fold is on the top. I cut a 4" x 5-1/2" piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Snowy Scenes" 12" x 12" package and taped it to the front of the card.

Then I took a 2-1/4" x 5-1/4" piece of Poppy Parade card stock and I snipped the right side to look like a ribbon end. I cut in about 1/2". I taped this piece to the front of the card, centering it as much as I could by eyeing it.

Next I fussy cut the globe scene from the "Snowy Scenes" package of DSP. I took my Garden Green marker and traced around the globe to give the edge a bit of color. Just trace it like you are trying to copy the shape. You can also take the belly of the marker on the brushed side and run it along the edge but you have a bigger chance of slipping and marking up the image (well I do anyway). I set this piece in place using Dimensionals.

The words are from the "Christmas Labels" bundle and were stamped using Poppy Parade ink on a scrap piece of Basic White card stock. I cut them out using a die from the same bundle. I also cut a Garden Green label. I trimmed off the outer parts on the white piece and taped it to the green piece. Then I taped the piece over the bottom part of the snow globe.

For a final touch, using glue I added snowflakes from the "White Loose Snowflakes" container. And the card was done.

This was a fun and quick card to make.

Thank you SO much for taking your time to stop in and see today's Christmas card,
Wanda
