Regal Floral, Happy Hibiscus, Thank You Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a card to share with you that I found on the internet. I was searching for a card using the "Regal Floral" bundle, a set I had purchased but hadn't used yet because I bought too many fun sets and played with them instead.  I was in need of a thank you card for our neighbors who watched out cat while we were out of town for a few days.  They just love him and were glad to take care of him for us. You can see the original card here

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. Once cut it measured 4-1/4" x 11". It opens on the bottom and the fold is on the top.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Blackberry Bliss card stock and textured it using the "Distressed Tile" embossing folder. I glued it to the front of the card.

Next I too a piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Regal Winter" 12" x 12" package.  I cut it at 2" x 4-1/4" and I cut a piece of Basic White for the layer that measures 2-1/4" x 4-1/2". I glued that to the front of the card about 1/2" from the left edge and the top and bottom.

Then I worked on the focal piece. I cut a piece of Basic White card stock 2"x 3-1/4".  I stamped the greenery on it from the "Regal Flora" bundle using Shaded Spruce ink. There's two different images in the Shaded Spruce.

I stamped on the dots using Blackberry Bliss ink that was stamped off once. I did that on three different places on that piece. I taped this to a 2-1/4" x 3-1/2" piece of Blackberry Bliss card stock. Dimensionals were added to the back and it was set in place on the front of the card about 1-1/8" from the left side and 1" from the top and bottom.

The flowers were stamped on a scrap piece of Basic White card stock using Blackberry Bliss ink. I cut them out using the die from the bundle. I thought it was too dark so I took my Wink of Stella pen and colored over the flowers. Dimensionals were added to the back where they would be touching the panel.  And that was it, the card was done.

I thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's Thank You card,
Wanda
