Happy Hibiscus, Countryside Corners, Unbounded Love, Sympathy Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I was in need of a sympathy card.  Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left. I cut a 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" piece of Shaded Spruce card stock stock and textured is using the "Happy Hibiscus" embossing folder. Then I trimmed it to 4" x 5-1/4". I glued it to the front of the card base.

Next I stamped the flower images from the "Happy Hibiscus" bundle using black Memento ink on Basic White card stock. I colored the flowers using light and dark Powder Pink Blends pens, dark Pumpkin Pie, and light Daffodil Delight. The leaf was colored in using the light and dark Granny Apple Green Blends pens. I cut them out using the matching dies.

Then I cut the Shaded Spruce and Basic White pieces using the "Countryside Corners" dies. I stamped the words from the "Unbounded Love" bundle and black Memento ink. I taped it to the Shaded Spruce piece.

The "Happy Hibiscus" bundle has a circle die so I cut two of Basic White and taped them to the opposite corners of the "Countryside Corners" piece.

I set the flowers in place using Dimensionals and then I added Dimensionals to the back of the whole thing and centered it as much as I could by eyeing it.

A brass butterfly was added to give it a more peaceful look.

This was a touch card to make. It was easy but the reason made it tough.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's sympathy card,
Wanda
