Greetings of the Season, Winter Meadow, Christmas Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a beautiful card to share with you that I found on Pinterest. What drew me to this card was the layout. I thought it had a stunning look to it. You can see the original card here. Please read on to see how I made the card.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left. I cut a 4-1/8" x 5-3/8" piece of Blueberry Bushel for the layer. Before taping the layer in place I cut the circle for the front layer. I used the 6th smallest die in the "Deckled Circles" set. I set it aside.

Next was the textured layer. I cut a 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" piece of Basic White card stock and I textured it using the "Distressed Tile" embossing folder. Once textured I cut it to 4' x 5-14" and I glued it to the front of the card.

The pieces are cut as follows. The large front piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the
"Winter Meadow" 12" x 12" package was cut at 3" x 4".  The wide strip behind it is from the same package of DSP and was cut at 1-3/4" x 3-1/2".  And the long strip on the left side measures 3/4" x 4-3/4" and is from the "Perennial Lavender" 12" x 12" package. I didn't have the same green that was used on the original card so I improvised. I think it worked out well.  To assemble these I found the center  of the largest piece and I ran tape across the back, then I placed the blue piece on it. Now when I had cut my strip I thought it was too short so what I did was I cut mine 6" long. Only because that's how long the thin scrap was in my package. You could go 5-1/2" too. I snipped the top end. Then I took the snipped off piece and lined it up with the bottom edge of the largest piece of DSP and used it as a template to cut the bottom part. I liked this look much better than my practice piece. I taped this piece to the left side of the largest piece of DSP. Then I glued it to the front of the card.

Now we already have the blue circle cut so we need to cut the DSP for the center. The DSP is from the "Winter Meadow" package and was cut using the second largest circle in the "Stylish Shapes" set. I stamped the words from the "Greetings of the Season" bundle using black Memento ink. I taped the two circles together and set them in place on the front of the card using Dimensionals.

I took two 3" pieces of ribbon and trimmed the ends. I tied them together using Baker's Twine. I tied the twine in a bow and glued it to the front of the card and the card was done.

Isn't it pretty? I just love this layout. I can't wait to try it again.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's Christmas card,
Wanda
