The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.
I cut a 1-1/4" x 5-1/2" piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Snowy Scenes" 12" x 12" package. I taped it to the left side of the card.
I didn't like how plain the right side was so I took a quarter sheet of Basic White card stock and textured it using the "Snowflake Sky" embossing folder. Then I trimmed it to 3" x 5-1/2" and glued it to the right side. I did have to trim the edge a bit with my scissors but it was such a slight amount hanging over that I could have left it but it would have bugged me for all eternity (LOL) so I trimmed it.
Next I fussy cut the penguin snow globe and the tree from the same package of DSP.
The tag is from the "Greetings of the Season" bundle and was cut from a piece of Basic White card stock. I stamped the words from the same bundle using Garden Green ink. I glued this to the front of the card about 5/8" down from the tip and the top edge and about 1" from the fold.
A red and white Baker's Twine bow was tied and glued over the hole of the tag.
The tree and penguin were set in place using Dimensionals and the card was done.
This was a fun card to make. It's pretty simple and I think that tag could have used some snowflakes stamped on it or something, it's a bit too plain. But you can decorate your own and make it look better.
Thank you SO much for taking your time to stop in and see today's Christmas card,
Wanda
