Encircled in Nature, Christmas Labels, Christmas Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a serene Christmas card to share with you. It's very easy to make too, so grab a cup of coffee and your supplies and let's get started.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I took a separate piece of card stock to make a template. I used the 5th smallest circled in the "Deckled Circles" die set. I also used that die on the front of the card. I centered the die as much as I could by eyeing it. I taped it down with Post-it tape and cut it out. I saved the center (why I don't know but I may come up with an idea some day, right? LOL).

This part was a bit tricky and it took a little patience. I took the template and matched up the cuttings with the cuttings of the circle on the front of the card. Once I got it matched up I trimmed away any parts on the template that would be in my way. I taped down the template and then scrubbed on some Misty Moonlight ink using my Blending Brush. The worst part was over!

Next the trees were cut using the die from the "Encircled in Nature" bundle, using Basic White card stock. I glued them to the inside of the card on the Misty Moonlight circle.

I took a chalk pen and added some falling snow.

The top layer is a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock and was cut using the 6th smallest die, it's the one larger than the 5th one used for the first opening and stencil. I did line up the piece over the opening on the front to get it centered as much as possible. I cut the circle and then textured the piece using the "Snowflake Sky" embossing folder. I set the piece in place on the front of the card using Dimensionals.

The words are from the "Christmas Labels" bundle and were stamped on a scrap piece of Basic White card stock using Misty Moonlight ink. I cut them out using a die from the same bundle. I set the words in place with Dimensionals.  And the card was done.

I think it's a very soft and peaceful looking card.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's Christmas card,
Wanda
