Sentimental Christmas, Greetings of the Season, Christmas Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. I thought I'd post a card before the Christmas Eve festivities start. Please read on to see how I made today's card.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut a 3-3/4" x 5" piece of Shaded Spruce card stock for the layer.

Next I cut a  4-1/2" x 3-1/4"piece of Basic White for the next layer. On top of tat is a piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Sentimental Christmas" 12" x 12" package. I used a little bit of tape where the opening was going to be cut so the pieces would stick together.

I used the rounded corner rectangle dies from the "Nested Essentials" die set. I used second smallest one on the two layers together. Then I removed the DSP and using the second die in that set I lined it up over the opening to get it as equal around as I could and I cut it. Once cut I taped the DSP to the Basic White piece, lining up the openings.

Then I took a piece of DSP from the "Sentimental Christmas" package and cut it so I had the image of a deer for my opening. Glue was added around the backside of the opening and the piece was set in place and then it was taped to the Shaded Spruce piece.  Then that was taped to the card base.

The words were stamped next on a scrap piece of Basic White card stock using Real Red ink.  They are from the "Greetings of the Season" set. Then they were cut using the second stitched circle die from the "Stylish Shapes" set. Dimensionals were added to the back and it was set in place on the right side of the card.

Because it has such a vintage look to it I thought I'd color some rhinestones using my dark Real Red Blends Pen. I set them over the berries that were on the branches. It just reminded me of the vintage cards from the 60's that had the glitter outlines on them. It just needed that nostalgic touch. And the card was done.

This was such a fun card to make and I REALLY like how it turned out.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's Christmas card,

Greetings of the Season, Reindeer Days, Christmas Cards, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. I have another Christmas card to share with you. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the bottom and the fold is on the top.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Pool Party card stock for the layer.

On top of the Pool Party layer are strips of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Reindeer Days" 12" x 12" package. I cut the top piece at 1-3/4" x 5". The bottom strips are on the backside of the deer paper. I cut the bottom strip at 1/2" x 5" and the middle strip was cut at 1-1/4" x 5". I taped the strips in place leaving about 1/8" space between them and also on the top and bottom edges too.

I stamped the words from the "Greetings of the Season" bundle using Real Red ink. Then I cut them using a die from the "Spotlight on Nature" bundle. I trimmed off the bottom of the circle about 1/2", tape was added to the back and I slipped the piece under the bottom strip just a bit.

The deer is from another sheet and I fussy cut it. Dimensionals were added to the back and it was set in place on the front of the card.

I also fussy cut a few trees that are from the same DSP that was used on the two bottom strips. I taped them in place and the card was done.

This was such fun card to make. It was quick and easy too.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's Christmas card,

Snowy Wonder, Snowy Scenes, Christmas Cards, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a very pretty Christmas card I found on Pinterest. I just had to make it, plus I hadn't used half of those images in the "Snowy Wonder" bundle. I've mostly used the dies. You can see the original card here. I prefer to follow written instructions over videos. There's too much extra chatter on videos for me. I skipped over a lot of the video to get to the parts I needed to know. I stuck with it till all of the pieces were stamped and cut and then I just used the pic of the card for placement. The video did a nice job showing how the card was done. Don't get me wrong, I do like videos that show me how to make things that I don't understand. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It was cut in half on the short side so once cut it measured 4-1/4" x 11" It opens on the bottom and the fold is on the top.

Using the globe die from the "Snowy Wonder" bundle I cut the piece out on the upper part of the card, leaving equal spacing on the sides and top.

A piece of DSP from the "Snowy Scenes" 12" x 12" package was cut at about 3-3/4" x 3-1/2" and taped to the inside of the front panel. I cut a piece of Basic White that was just a hair short of 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" and taped it to that same area to hide the DSP.

Next came all of the stamping. The house was stamped using Pecan Pie ink. The trees were stamped using Garden Green, the mountains were stamped using Pool Party and the solid trees were cut from Garden Green card stock. I was using what I had on hand for those trees. Three Basic White snowflakes were also cut out.

The words are from the same "Snowy Wonder" bundle and were stamped using Pool Party ink. I cut the piece to measure about 5/8" and 2" long. The left side is flush with the front of the card's left edge and the right side was cut at an angle.

I just looked at the original card for placement of all of the pieces. I just love the look of this card, it's so fun and cute!

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's Christmas card,

Sparkling Snowflakes, One of Kind, Sophisticated Sled, Encircled in Nature, Christmas Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. I just couldn't leave yesterday's card alone. I obsessed about it all day and knew I just had to dress it up. What do you think? Please read on to see what I added to dress the card up.

I cut two boughs from the "Sophisticated Sled" bundle. I used Old Olive and Garden Green card stock. I cut the Old Olive piece in half. I set them aside.

Then I cut out 3 pairs of the thin branches using Old Olive card stock. They came from the "Encircled in Nature" bundle.

And the bow is from the "Sophisticated Sled" bundle. I stamped the image using black Memento ink and I fussy cut the bow from the image. I colored the bow using my light Real Red Blends Pen and then added low lights using the dark pen. I also colored some rhinestones using the dark pen. I set them aside to dry.

I picked a spot where I wanted the greenery to start. If you view the circle as a clock it was be at the 11. I added some glue and set three of the thinner Old Olive pieces in place. The ones on the upper part were cut back about 1" or they would hang well beyond the card size.

The Garden Green piece was set on top of the pieces just added and then the two pieces of Old Olive boughs were added. I gave them a minute to set up and then I glued on the bow.

Clear rhinestones were added to the snowflakes and the red rhinestones were added to the greenery.

Now didn't that dress up the snowflake wreath? I like this card a whole lot more now!

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see the improvement to the Christmas card,

Sparkling Snowflakes, One of a Kind, Christmas Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a simple looking Christmas card to share with you. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Balmy Blue card stock. Did you notice I didn't use Basic White for the card base? I step out of my box now and them for a card or two! I usually use Basic White to save on card stock because of the cost and I will use a color for a back layer. I could have done that too but the layer would not have shown very much, just a sliver (about 1/8"). So I decided to use a half-sheet instead. Okay, so where were we. Oh, the card base. I cut two 4" x 5-1/4" pieces of Basic White card stock, one for the inside and one for the front. I taped the one to the inside.

I took the piece for the front and scrubbed on some Balmy Blue ink using my Blending Brush. I tried to make it into somewhat of a circle, leaving the center lighter than the outer part.

The snowflakes were cut using the die from the "One of a Kind" bundle. I cut 7 of them using Basic White card stock. I took a 1-1/2" circle I had punched and set it on the the center of the piece and I added the snowflakes one by one using some mono glue.

Then the words were stamped using Balmy Blue ink. They are from the "Sparkling Snowflakes" set. And I called the card done.

I think I could have centered it better and I think it could use some finesse. Maybe I'll work on that in a few days. It's so busy with all the things I need to get done for Christmas eve (which is only 4 days away -YIKES!).

I thank you SO much for taking your time to stop in and see today's Christmas card,

Joyful Images, Christmas Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I picked a card from the mini catalog, sort of. I used what I had and improvised. It's from page 17 if you'd like to see it. Please read on to see how I made this card.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock. I colored the bottom area using Real Red ink and my Blending Brush. I started at the bottom and worked my way up towards the middle. I kept the bottom area dark like in the photo.

The images are from the "Joyful Images" package. I used two candy canes, a bow, the envelop and a green strip. I put them together they way they looked in the photo.

The words were done on my computer. I used the font called "Ink Free" and the code for the Real Red color (R-201,G-30,B-69 for those of you who want the color code). I used 18 pt on the font. I trimmed it to 1-5/8" x 7/16". I glued it to the bottom edge of the envelope piece. Dimensionals were added to the back and the piece was set in place on the front of the card.

I just LOVE the way this card looks. It's SO pretty and I want to keep it and not give it away! LOL

Snowflake Sky, Snowy Scene, Snowy Wonder, Christmas Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a quick and easy card to share with you. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold on the left.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock and textured it with the "Snowflake Sky" embossing folder. I glued it to the front of the card.

A 4" x 1-1/2" strip of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Take a Bow" 6" x 6" stack. I glued that to the front of the card about 1/2" from the fold.

The snow globe is from the "Snowy Scene" 12" x 12" package of DSP, I fussy cut it out.  I stamped the greetings from the "Snowy Wonder" bundle using black Memento ink. Dimensionals were added to the back and the piece was set in place on the front of the card.

I added some snowflakes from the "White Loose Snowflakes" container using glue and the card was done.

This was such a fun card to make and I'm happy with the way it turned out.

Snowy Scenes, Christmas Labels, Christmas Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a whimsical Christmas card to share with you. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the bottom and the fold is on the top. I cut a 4" x 5-1/2" piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Snowy Scenes" 12" x 12" package and taped it to the front of the card.

Then I took a 2-1/4" x 5-1/4" piece of Poppy Parade card stock and I snipped the right side to look like a ribbon end. I cut in about 1/2". I taped this piece to the front of the card, centering it as much as I could by eyeing it.

Next I fussy cut the globe scene from the "Snowy Scenes" package of DSP. I took my Garden Green marker and traced around the globe to give the edge a bit of color. Just trace it like you are trying to copy the shape. You can also take the belly of the marker on the brushed side and run it along the edge but you have a bigger chance of slipping and marking up the image (well I do anyway). I set this piece in place using Dimensionals.

The words are from the "Christmas Labels" bundle and were stamped using Poppy Parade ink on a scrap piece of Basic White card stock. I cut them out using a die from the same bundle. I also cut a Garden Green label. I trimmed off the outer parts on the white piece and taped it to the green piece. Then I taped the piece over the bottom part of the snow globe.

For a final touch, using glue I added snowflakes from the "White Loose Snowflakes" container. And the card was done.

This was a fun and quick card to make.

Snowflake Sky, Snowy scenes, Sophisticated Sled, Christmas Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have an easy Christmas card to share with you. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock and textured it using the "Snowflake Sky" embossing folder. I glued this to the front of the card base.

A 2-5/8" x 5-1/4" piece of Garden Green card stock. On top of that is a 2-3/8" x 5-1/4" piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Snowy Scenes" 12" x 12" package. I taped the DSP to the Garden Green strip. I glued this to the front of the card about 1/2" from the fold.

The tree was added next. It was cut from a piece of Garden Green card stock using the solid die from the "Decorative Trees" set. It was textured using a pine needle looking embossing folder. I used a chalk pen and colored on some "snow" around the tree to define the branches more and give it a bit of color. I glued it on top of the DSP strip about 1-1/8" up from the bottom edge of the card.

The snowman went on next. It's from the "Snowy Scenes" package of DSP and was fussy cut. Dimensionals were added to the back and the piece was set in place about 1/2" from the bottom edge of the card base and about 3/8" from the right edge.

The words are from the "Sophisticated Sled" bundle and were stamped using black Memento ink. I used the retired "Double Oval" punch to punch them out. Using the same punch, I punched out the scalloped oval. I taped the two ovals together, Dimensionals were added to the back and it was set in place on the front of the card.

For a final touch I thought the tree could us a bit more something than just the chalk pen so I glued on some snowflakes from the "White Loose Snowflakes" container and the card was done.

I think it's so cheery looking.

Season of Green & Gold, Spotlight on Nature, Greetings of the Season, Christmas Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have an elegant looking card to share with you. Please read on to see how I made it.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Garden Green card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut two pieces of 4" x 5-1/4" Basic White pieces. One I taped to the inside and the other I textured using the "Snowflake Sky" embossing folder. I glued that one to the front of the card.

The Designer Series Paper (DSP) is from the "Season of Green & Gold" 12" x 12" package. I cut the top piece at 1-1/2" x 3-1/2" and the square piece was cut at 3" x 3".

The layers behind the DPS pieces were cut at 1-3/4" x 3-3/4" and 3-1/4" x 3-1/4". I taped the DSP to the layers and then I glued the pieces in place on the front of the card, it's about 1/4" from the edges.

I stamped the words from the "Greetings of the Season" bundle using Versa Mark. I sprinkled on some gold embossing powder and heated to set. I cut them out using the 3rd smallest die in the "Spotlight on Nature" bundle. Dimensionals were added to the back and it was set in place on the center of the square piece.  And that was it.

This was a very quick card to make and it's got a touch of elegance to it too!

Greetings of the Season, Snowy Scenes, Christmas Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have another quick and easy Christmas card to share with you. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut a 1-1/4" x  5-1/2" piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Snowy Scenes" 12" x 12" package. I taped it to the left side of the card.

I didn't like how plain the right side was so I took a quarter sheet of Basic White card stock and textured it using the "Snowflake Sky" embossing folder. Then I trimmed it to 3" x 5-1/2" and glued it to the right side. I did have to trim the edge a bit with my scissors but it was such a slight amount hanging over that I could have left it but it would have bugged me for all eternity (LOL) so I trimmed it.

Next I fussy cut the penguin snow globe and the tree from the same package of DSP.

The tag is from the "Greetings of the Season" bundle and was cut from a piece of Basic White card stock. I stamped the words from the same bundle using Garden Green ink. I glued this to the front of the card about 5/8" down from the tip and the top edge and about 1" from the fold.

A red and white Baker's Twine bow was tied and glued over the hole of the tag.

The tree and penguin were set in place using Dimensionals and the card was done.

This was a fun card to make. It's pretty simple and I think that tag could have used some snowflakes  stamped on it or something, it's a bit too plain. But you can decorate your own and make it look better.

Encircled in Nature, Christmas Labels, Christmas Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a serene Christmas card to share with you. It's very easy to make too, so grab a cup of coffee and your supplies and let's get started.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I took a separate piece of card stock to make a template. I used the 5th smallest circled in the "Deckled Circles" die set. I also used that die on the front of the card. I centered the die as much as I could by eyeing it. I taped it down with Post-it tape and cut it out. I saved the center (why I don't know but I may come up with an idea some day, right? LOL).

This part was a bit tricky and it took a little patience. I took the template and matched up the cuttings with the cuttings of the circle on the front of the card. Once I got it matched up I trimmed away any parts on the template that would be in my way. I taped down the template and then scrubbed on some Misty Moonlight ink using my Blending Brush. The worst part was over!

Next the trees were cut using the die from the "Encircled in Nature" bundle, using Basic White card stock. I glued them to the inside of the card on the Misty Moonlight circle.

I took a chalk pen and added some falling snow.

The top layer is a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock and was cut using the 6th smallest die, it's the one larger than the 5th one used for the first opening and stencil. I did line up the piece over the opening on the front to get it centered as much as possible. I cut the circle and then textured the piece using the "Snowflake Sky" embossing folder. I set the piece in place on the front of the card using Dimensionals.

The words are from the "Christmas Labels" bundle and were stamped on a scrap piece of Basic White card stock using Misty Moonlight ink. I cut them out using a die from the same bundle. I set the words in place with Dimensionals.  And the card was done.

I think it's a very soft and peaceful looking card.

Sophisticated Sled, Snowy Scenes, Christmas Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a snowman Christmas card to share with you. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Balmy Blue card stock for the layer.

Next came the piece of Basic White card stock, I started out with a 4-1/4" x 5-1/2".  . I took a scrap piece of card stock and die cut a circle using the 5th smallest "Deckled Circles" die set. I used that piece as a stencil. I took my Blending Brush and scrubbed on some Balmy Blue ink in that circle on the quarter sheet of Basic White card stock. I set that template to the lower right on the piece. Once I had the color to my liking I removed the template. Then I textured it using the "Snowflake Sky" embossing folder.  It was then trimmed to 3-3/4" x 5".I glued it to the Balmy Blue piece and then I taped that to the front of the card.

I fussy cut a snowman from the "Snowy Scenes" 12" x 12" package of Designer Series Paper (DSP). I set it in place on the circle using Dimensionals.

The words are from the "Sophisticated Sled" bundle and were stamped using Balmy Blue ink. I cut them out using a die from the "Greetings of the Season" bundle. I traced around it using my Balmy Blue marker, the edge needed just a hit of color so it would stand out against the white background. I set the piece in place using Dimensionals. I made sure one covered the back of the tag hole. A snowflake is going to go there to hide it.

Snowflakes from the "White Loose Snowflakes" container were added using glue. And the card was done.

This was such a fun card to make and I do like how it turned out. It's got a simple look to it too.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's Christmas card,

Sophisticated Sled, Reindeer Days, Christmas Labels, Christmas Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a super quick Christmas card to share with you. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the bottom and the fold is on the top.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Pool Party card stock for the layer.

The Designer Series Paper (DSP) is from the "Reindeer Days" 12" x 12"package. I cut this piece at 3-3/4" x 5" and I taped it to the Pool Party piece. Then I taped that to the front of the card.

Next came the word pieces. Using the die from the "Christmas Labels" bundle I cut a Real Red one first and set it aside.

Then I stamped the words from the "Sophisticated Sled" bundle using Real Red ink. I cut them out using the same die as I did for the Real Red piece. I cut away the outer part of the frame and taped the inside part to the Real Red piece. Dimensionals were added to the back and the piece was set in place on the front of the card.  And that was it, the card was done.

I think it took me longer to type this up than it did to put the card together. It's such a quick card and a great way to use up that DSP that is going to be retiring soon.

Encircled in Nature, Snowflake Sky, Christmas Labels, Christmas Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have another Christmas card to share with you. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut a 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" piece of Basic White card stock and textured it using the "Snowflake Sky" embossing folder. I trimmed it to 5-1/4" x 4". I glued it to the front of the card.

The trees were cut using the die in the "Encircled in Nature" bundle and were cut from Basic White card stock. I cut two sets of these trees. I set them aside.

Next I cut the ring of berries. It's from the "Encircled in Nature" bundle. I cut it from Basic White card stock and colored it in. First I colored the stem part. I wanted to use Blends Pens but there's no Garden Green one. I wonder why? I used a marker to do that. Then I took my dark Real Red Blends Pen and colored each berry. Using the dark Cherry Cobbler Blends Pen I colored the tips of each berry. I also added a little bit of light Cherry Cobbler to one side of the berries. A chalk pen was used to add the white highlighting dots on each berry. After I finished that I thought I shouldn't have colored every berry. Skipping a few would have been a better choice.

I set the circle on the front of the card for placement. I placed one set of trees in the circle, I removed the circle and glued the trees in place.  Then I added a dot of glue to each berry and set the piece in place on top of the embossed piece.

The second set of three were trimmed up a bit on the bottom and small pieces of Dimensionals were added to the back and it was set in place over the ones that were glued down.

The words are from the "Christmas Labels" bundle and were stamped using Garden Green ink on a scrap piece of Basic White card stock. I fussy cut around them. Dimensionals were added to the back and they were set in place on the front of the card.

I added a pearl to the sky to look like a moon and the card was done.

It's not exactly what I had in my head when I started it but it's okay.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's Christmas card,

Christmas Labels, Winter Meadow, Christmas Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have another quick and easy Christmas card to share with you. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Misty Moonlight card stock for the layer. I die cut the framed piece from the center before I taped it to the front of the card. I set the framed piece aside.

The Designer Series Paper (DPS) is from the "Winter Meadow" 12" x 12" package. It measures 3-3/4" x 5". I taped that to the Misty Moonlight layer.

The words are from the "Christmas Labels" bundle and were stamped using Misty Moonlight ink on a scrap piece of Basic White card stock. I cut them out using the same die as I did for the framed piece cut from the center of the Misty Moonlight layer. I cut off all of the outer part of that frame so I was just down to the solid part where the words are stamped. I taped the words part on the center of the Misty Moonlight framed piece, matching it up as best as I could. Dimensionals were added to the back and it was set in place on the front of the card.

I added some clear sequins to the card to give it a little bling. It just looked like it needed to be snowing.

This was such a quick card to make. One sheet of this DSP will make 6 cards and you get 2 sheets of this design per package. So I think I'm going to whip up 11 more cards in no time and it will put me at about 1/5 of what I need to get done by Monday.  YIKES!  Stress! But once the cards are done and out in the mail all I need to do is wrap a few gifts that should be arriving soon and bake some cookies, watch holiday movies and relax.

Thank you SO much for taking your time to stop in and see today's Christmas card,

Sentimental Christmas, Sophisticated Sled, Greetings of the Season, Christmas Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today is a little bit of a "Blast from the Past". I ran across 6 of these snowman pieces that were all colored. They were layered on Basic Black card stock when I found them. Please read on to see how I worked them into a card and got the off my worktable!

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut a 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" piece of Basic White card stock and textured it using the "Snowflake Sky" embossing folder. Then I cut it to 4" x 5-1/4".  My plan was to have the layer on the left be smaller than the textured piece but I didn't measure right so I had to tape it over the textured piece. Had I not glued all of the textured pieces down I would have cut it in half but I wasn't thinking.  I try to remember the old saying, "measure twice, cut once".  I measured once and thought it was right. It still looks good but it wasn't what I had in my head.

Anyway, I taped the Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Sentimental Christmas" 12" x 12" package to a piece of Shaded Spruce card stock. The DSP measured 2" x 5" and the card stock measured 2-1/4" x 5-1/4". Once they were taped I glued them to the left side of the card. I had to line up my piece over the textured piece to hide it.

Next came the cute snowman. I do now know the name of the set it came from. It's been retired for many years.  From the looks of it I colored it in using a Blending Pen and ink pads.  I had sponged the edges with what I think was Lost Lagoon ink. It looks and feels like the paper is watercolor paper. I removed the Basic Black layer and added a Shaded Spruce one. Dimensionals were added to the back and the piece was set in place on the lower part of the card.

The words are from the "Sophisticated Sled" bundle and were stamped on a scrap piece of Basic White card stock using black Memento ink. I cut them out using the smallest die from the "Greetings of the Season" bundle. Dimensionals were added to the back and the piece was set in place on the front of the card.

Using glue, I added 3 of the cute snowflakes from the "White Loose Snowflakes" container. I made sure a large one covered the hole on the word piece. The dies in that set are tags. I added another snowflake on the upper left and one on the snowman piece. And I was able to make all 6 of those snowmen into cards! I may use them this year for our cards, I can just add them to the stash, right?  Why not! It's not like everyone gets together and compares to make sure everyone got the same card! LOL

It was fun making this card and knowing that I was able to use the snowmen I had found by adding it to some current products. It made my day and I think it made a cute card. I love the colors.

Sentimental Christmas, Christmas Labels, Christmas Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a super quick and easy Christmas card to share with you. I would love to have about 8 packages of this Designer Series Paper (DSP) so I could whip out our yearly Christmas card in no time. I still have not decided what I'm going to do for ours this year. I have till Sunday to decide and then I will need to get going on them. Please read on to see how this card was made.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Pretty Peacock card stock. Before I taped it to the front of the card I cut the framed label piece. It's from the "Christmas Labels" bundle. Once it was cut I set the piece in place on the card base.

The DSP is from the "Sentimental Christmas" 12" x 12"package. It was cut at 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" and taped to the Pretty Peacock layer.

The words are from the "Christmas Labels" bundle and were stamped using Pretty Peacock ink. I cut the out using the matching die.  Then I trimmed around the piece so I had only the solid part. I taped that to the Pretty Peacock label I had cut earlier. These words best fit this image too, don't you agree?  Dimensionals were added to the back and the piece was set in place on the front of the card and that was it, the card was done. I told you it was a super quick card! I think it took me longer to get the materials out I needed than it was to make the card!

Encircled in Nature, Greetings of the Season, Spotlight on Nature, Christmas Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a Christmas card to share with you. I found it on Pinterest and you can see that one by clicking here. I made a few changes to it using the material I had. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I began with cutting a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Mossy Meadow card stock. Then I cut a quarter sheet of Basic White card stock and textured it using the "So Swirly" embossing folder. Then I trimmed it to  3-7/8" x 5-1/8".  I glued it to the Mossy Meadow piece and then that was taped to the front of the card.

The strips were cut next. They are from the "Season of Gold & Green" 12" x 12" package of Designer Series Paper (DPS), the center one was cut at 3/4" x 4-1/4" and the two sides ones were cut at 3/4" x 4".  I glued them to the front of the card.

The circle was die cut next. It's from the "Spotlight on Nature" bundle, I used the second largest die for this piece.

The trees from the "Encircled in Nature" bundle and were stamped using Mossy Meadow ink. I bent the stamp a bit to make it fit better in the circle.

I stamped the words from the "Greetings of the Season" bundle using Mossy Meadow ink. Dimensionals were added to the back and the piece was set in place on the front of the card.

A white Baker's Twine bow was tied and glued to the front of the card on the circle.

I added a few "Genial Gems" (retired) to the front and the card was done.

This was a very fun, quick and easy card to make. I do like how it turned out. If I were to make another one I would use the "Snowflake Sky" embossing folder or the "Distressed Tile" embossing folder for a wintery or elegant look.

Greetings of the Season, Sophisticated Sled, Christmas Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a Christmas card to share with you. Does it look familiar? I made one last week using Real Red card stock and I thought it would be fun to try it in green. So here it is. Here's a shortcut to last week's card.  Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Garden Green card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left. I cut a 4' x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White and taped it to the inside.

Then I cut a 3-1/4" x 4-3/4" piece of Basic White card stock for the layer on the front. On top of that is a 4-1/4" x 3" piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Take a Bow" 6" x 6" stack. I taped it to the Basic White piece and then I taped that to the front of the card, I centered it as much as I could by eyeing it.

Next I cut the tag from the "Greetings of the Season" bundle using Basic White card stock.

The sled and all the other components to it were cut next. They are from the "Sophisticated Sled" bundle.  The runners on the sled and the blades on the skates were cut using silver foil card stock.  The skates were cut using Basic White card stock. The laces were cut using a scrap of Garden Green card stock. The bed of the sled was cut using Pecan Pie card stock. The greenery was cut using Old Olive and Garden Green card stock.

The words are from the same "Sophisticated Sled" bundle and were stamped using Early Espresso in on a scrap piece of Crumb Cake card stock. Then they were cut using the small die from the "Greetings of the Season" bundle.

I glued the sled together. The greenery was added next. I cut the Old Olive one in half and glued the pieces separately.  The laces were glued into the slit on the skates and they were glued to the front of the sled.

I took a piece of ribbon (retired) and thread it through the large white tag and then through the word tag. A piece of the Cherry Cobbler Baker's Twine was tied into a bow around the ribbon. I tied a knot first so it would stay and then I tied the bow. I added a little it of glue to the knot on the bow so it stayed in place. I used school glue for that because the Mono glue can be a bit sticky when it dries. (ever try to get that glue off your fingers?  UGH!!)

Once the pieces were all in place I added tape to the back of the large white tag and set it in place on the front of the card and the card was done.

I think it looks just as nice in green as it did in red.

Greetings of the Season, Season of Green & Gold, Christmas Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a Christmas card to share with you using the "Season of Green & Gold" Designer Series Paper (DSP). Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Very Vanilla card stock. It opens on the bottom and the fold is on the top.

I cut a 2" x 3-3/4" piece of DSP from the "Season of Green & Gold" 12" x 12" package. A 2-1/4" x 4" piece of Garden Green card stock was cut for the layer. There was a strip of the DSP left, it measured 1-3/4" x 2-3/4", I cut a Garden Green layer for it measuring 2" x 3".

Then I textured a piece of Very Vanilla card stock using the "Distressed Tile" embossing folder and then trimmed it to 4" x 3".

The words are from the "Greetings of the Season" bundle and were stamped using Pecan Pie ink on a scrap piece of Very Vanilla. I cut them out using the second smallest die in the "Stylish Shapes" set. The Garden Green layer behind it was cut using the second smallest die from the "Deckled Circles" set. I taped the two layers together.

The greenery and bells are from the "Season of Green & Gold" package of DSP.  I did not buy the bundle, just the DSP so I had to fussy cut the pieces. There was an extra bow from a partial bell so I cut it, added Dimensionals behind it and set it aside.

I was now ready to assemble my card. I glued down the textured Very Vanilla piece. The layered strip was next, it's about 1" from the bottom and 3/4" from the right edge, I glued it in place. Then the large layered DSP piece was taped in place on the left side of the card.

The greenery was added next. Be careful putting tape on it, the leaves could rip off. I chose to glue mine. I just put a blob (technical stamping lingo) on the front of the card and pressed the pieces in place. I did tape the pine needle piece on top of the glued pieces.

I took that bow I had fussy cut, removed the backing from the Dimensionals and set it in place on top pf the bow on the bells. I was surprised it matched since the bell it was cut from was not the same bell as the pair. Then I taped the bells in place.

The words were added next, they were set in place with Dimensionals and the card was done.

Even with the fussy cutting, this card was fun to make. I love how rich it looks.

Snowy Wonder, Snowy Scenes, Christmas Labels, Christmas Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a wintry Christmas card to share with you. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock.

I cut a 4" x 1-3/8" piece of Basic White and I tore the top part to make a layer of snow. I taped that to the bottom of the card, leaving 1/4" on the bottom and two sides. Don't press hard on the part where the snowman will go, you are going to need some space to slip him in.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Snowy Scenes" 12" x 12" package. I used the die from the "Around the Bend" bundle to cut the curve. I thought this die looked like it had small snowballs on it so I ran with it. I lined up the die about 1/2" from the bottom of the DSP and 1-1/4" down from the upper right side. It doesn't have to be exact. It will depend on what image you use in the open area. I used tape on the solid part and a line of glue along the lower edge. I set it in place on the front of the card.

The snowman was next. He's from the "Snowy Scenes" package of DSP. I used the matching die in the "Snowy Wonder" bundle to cut him out. Though he is easy enough to fussy cut out.  I added tape to the back and slipped him under the torn layer.

The words are from the "Christmas Labels" bundle and were stamped using Pool Party ink. I cut them using the matching die. Dimensionals were added to the back and it was set in place on the front of the card.

Here's something fun to share with you. I took some of the "White Loose Snowflakes" and colored them using my light Pool Party Blends Pen. I added some white ones to the upper part of the card and the colored ones to the lower part. I used glue to set them in place. Above the snowman I stacked a small one on top of the larger one for a different look. And that was it, the card was done.

This was a fun card to make and I like how it creates a feeling of calm.

Greetings of the Season, Heartfelt Hexagons, Winter Meadow, Christmas Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have an easy Christmas card to share with you. This one is great for helping you use up some of that Designer Series Paper (DSP) that you have. I know I have a ton of it and would just love to sit down for a week and make cards all day long and try to put a dent in it. But for today I will just use a little and be happy with it! LOL Please read on to see how I made today's card.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Blueberry Bushel card stock for the layer.

The next layer was made using Crumb Cake card stock and was cut at 3-1/2" x 4-3/4".

The strips of DSP were cut next. They are from the "Winter Meadow" 12" x 12" package. I cut three of them and taped them to the top of the Crumb Cake piece.

The bottom piece is the backside of the top piece and was cut at 2" x 3-1/4" and was taped to the bottom part of the Crumb Cake piece.

I took a 5" piece of ribbon (retired) and taped the ends to the back of the Crumb Cake piece. Then I taped the entire piece on top of the Blueberry Bushel piece.

The words are from the "Greetings of the Season" bundle and were stamped using Garden Green ink. The framed piece around them is from the "Heartfelt Hexagons" and was stamped using Blueberry Bushel ink. I punched the piece out, added Dimensionals to the back and set the piece in place on the front of the car.

I tied a bow with the same ribbon and glued it on top of the ribbon strip.

And for a final touch I added some of those adorable snowflake embellishments from the "White Loose Snowflakes" container.  And that was it. I am really liking this layout, It was easy enough to do and used up some of my DSP.

Greetings of the Season, Winter Meadow, Christmas Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a beautiful card to share with you that I found on Pinterest. What drew me to this card was the layout. I thought it had a stunning look to it. You can see the original card here. Please read on to see how I made the card.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left. I cut a 4-1/8" x 5-3/8" piece of Blueberry Bushel for the layer. Before taping the layer in place I cut the circle for the front layer. I used the 6th smallest die in the "Deckled Circles" set. I set it aside.

Next was the textured layer. I cut a 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" piece of Basic White card stock and I textured it using the "Distressed Tile" embossing folder. Once textured I cut it to 4' x 5-14" and I glued it to the front of the card.

The pieces are cut as follows. The large front piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the
"Winter Meadow" 12" x 12" package was cut at 3" x 4".  The wide strip behind it is from the same package of DSP and was cut at 1-3/4" x 3-1/2".  And the long strip on the left side measures 3/4" x 4-3/4" and is from the "Perennial Lavender" 12" x 12" package. I didn't have the same green that was used on the original card so I improvised. I think it worked out well.  To assemble these I found the center  of the largest piece and I ran tape across the back, then I placed the blue piece on it. Now when I had cut my strip I thought it was too short so what I did was I cut mine 6" long. Only because that's how long the thin scrap was in my package. You could go 5-1/2" too. I snipped the top end. Then I took the snipped off piece and lined it up with the bottom edge of the largest piece of DSP and used it as a template to cut the bottom part. I liked this look much better than my practice piece. I taped this piece to the left side of the largest piece of DSP. Then I glued it to the front of the card.

Now we already have the blue circle cut so we need to cut the DSP for the center. The DSP is from the "Winter Meadow" package and was cut using the second largest circle in the "Stylish Shapes" set. I stamped the words from the "Greetings of the Season" bundle using black Memento ink. I taped the two circles together and set them in place on the front of the card using Dimensionals.

I took two 3" pieces of ribbon and trimmed the ends. I tied them together using Baker's Twine. I tied the twine in a bow and glued it to the front of the card and the card was done.

Isn't it pretty? I just love this layout. I can't wait to try it again.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's Christmas card,
