Spotlight on Nature, Snowy Scenes, Sophisticated Sled, Christmas Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a fun Christmas card to share with you. It's easy and pretty quick to make too. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of the card is a folded piece of Garden Green card stock. I was torn between that and Poppy Parade but the greens in the globe pushed more towards Garden Green. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left. I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White and I taped it to the inside.

Next I cut a piece of Basic White that measures 5-1/2" x 3-3/4".  I cut out the circle using a die from the "Spotlight on Nature. It was the third largest die that has a lined texture all around. There's two sets of circle dies in this package. This one was from one of the "sheets" and the border piece is on the other sheet, it was the second largest die. I cut it out on a separate piece of Basic White card stock. Then I had to take the first die I used and cut out the center. Now I was ready to texture it using the "Snowflake Sky" embossing folder.

I glued the die cut circle/ring to the opening on the textured piece. 

Then I took a 3-1/4" x 3-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock, using my Blending Brush and Pool Party ink, I scrubbed on some color. I glued this piece to the back of the textured piece over the opening.

The snowman in the globe is from the "Snowy Scenes" 12" x 12" package of Designer Series Paper (DSP). I fussy cut it out, added Dimensionals to the back and set the piece in place on the bottom area of the opening. 

I took some snowflakes from the "White Loose Snowflakes" container. 

The words are from the "Sophisticated Sled" bundle and were stamped using Poppy Parade ink. I cut them out using the die from the "Nested Essentials" set.

Before adding the embossed piece to the front of the card, I took a 6" piece of ribbon and taped the ends to the back. then I set it in place on the front of the card.

I took 20" of ribbon and tied a double bow. I snipped the ends and glued the bow on top of the ribbon piece I had just added.

Some gold thread was used to tie a bow and that was set in place on top of the ribbon bow using a glue dot.

A little bit of glue was added to the one end of the piece and it was slid under the ribbon piece a bit and set in place. 

For a final touch I added a few snowflakes to the word piece.

This was such a fun card and I am pleased at the way it turned out.
