Snowy Wonder, Snowy Scenes, Joyful Images Ephemera, Christmas Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a fun Christmas card to share with you. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Poppy Parade card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock and taped it to the inside.

On the front I cut a 3-1/2" x 4-5/8" piece of Basic White for the bottom layer.

The top two layers were next. The Poppy Parade piece was cut at 3" x 4-1/8". And the Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Snowy Scenes" 12" x 12" package was cut at 2-7/8" x 4".

I used the tiniest amount of tape to hold the two pieces together. I added the tape in the area I thought the circle would be cut from. Using the 3rd smallest die in the "Deckled Circles" set I made the first opening. Then I removed the DSP from the card stock and using the 4th largest "Deckled Circle" I cut a ring from the DSP. I taped the two pieces together. My embossing machine pinched my two pieces together so tight I could see the line where the DSP was, so it was easy to line it all up again. Once that was taped in place I added Dimensionals to the back and set it in place on top of the Basic White piece.

The layered pieces were taped to the front of the card.

The words are from the "Snowy Wonder" bundle and were stamped using Poppy Parade ink. I cut them out using a die from the "Stylish Shapes" set. I thought it was just a bit too white so I used my Poppy Parade marker and colored around the edge being careful not to color over the stitched marks. I added Dimensionals to the back and set it in place at the bottom of the card.

The cute little mittens are from the "Joyful Images Ephemera" package. I set them in place using Dimensionals and the card was done.

This was a fun card to make. I'm such a lover of mittens and I just had to find a way to use these as a focal point. This layout took care of that.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's Christmas card,
Wanda
