Season of Green & Gold, Greetings of the Season, Snowflake Sky, Christmas Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have an elegant Christmas card to share with you. It was pretty quick to make too. I found it on Pinterest and I did change it a little. You can see the original card here. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Very Vanilla card stock. It's kind of nice to play with a different color card base other than just Basic White. This card opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

Next the Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Season of Green & Gold" 12" x 12" package was cut. These are actually strips and not a full piece. The strips measure 3/4" x 5-1/4" and you need two of them. I taped them to each side of the card.

Next I cut the Very Vanilla center piece. It measures 2-3/4" x 5-1/2" and there's another piece of Very Vanilla on top of that. It measures 2-1/2" x 5-1/4".  I textured it using the Snowflake Sky" embossing folder. I glued that piece to the other strip of Very Vanilla. 

The piece with the words on it was cut next. I used the die from the "Greetings of the Season" bundle. The words were also from that bundle and they were stamped using Old Olive ink. I'm thinking Mossy Meadow ink would be pretty there too.

The mistletoe is from the same "Season of Green & Gold" DSP and was fussy cut. I didn't buy the bundle that this paper compliments, I just bought the paper. I wanted to but I had too many wants from the mini catalog that I had to pick and choose. So fussy cutting it is. The original card had the leaves that were stamped. But like I said, I didn't have the bundle so I just took one of the images on the DSP and fussy cut it. Dimensionals were added to the back of the die cut word piece and it was set in place on the center of the card.

Then the mistletoe piece was added with Dimensionals. 

I had some vanilla colored satin ribbon and I tied a knot and snipped the ends. I glued it in place over the tag hole on the die cut piece. I did snip the end of the mistletoe off a bit because it was in the way of the bow.

Some pearls were added to give the piece a bit more of an elegant look and the card was done.

This was a fun card to make. It was quick and easy and I really do like this layout.
