Greetings of the Season, Season of Green & Gold, Christmas Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a Christmas card to share with you. I found it on Pinterest. You can see the original card here. I changed it a bit. I couldn't find any measurements there so I had to wing it. Please read on to see how it was made.

Materials used here:

Old Olive card stock (1/2 sheet folded)
Season of Gold & Green DSP
Pecan Pie card stock (for the layer behind the strip and circle)
Basic White card stock (1/4 sheet for inside and a piece for the          words
Pecan Pie ink
Dimensionals
Double-sided tape
Sequins

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Old Olive card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left. I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock and taped it to the inside.

On the front I cut a piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Season of Green & Gold" 12" x 12" package. The strip measures 1-3/4" x 5-1/2".  The layer behind it measures 2" x 5-1/2". I taped the two layers together and then taped that to the front of the card about 3/8" from the fold.

Then I fussy cut two bunches of leaves and a set of bells from the same package of DSP.

The words are from the "Greetings of the Season" set and were stamped using Pecan Pie ink on Basic White card stock. I cut them out using the 9th die from the "Deckled Circles" set. Then I cut a Pecan Pie circle using the 9th die from that same set. I taped the circles together. Dimensionals were added to the back and it was set aside.

I laid the fussy cut pieces on the front of the card and laid the circle on top to see where the pieces would look the best. I removed the circles piece and taped down the fussy cut pieces. Then I set the circle pieces in place. Using both tape and Dimensionals on the bells and I set them in place on the front of the card.

I took some gold sequins I had and glued them to the front of the card and the card was done.

My card was a bit different. I didn't have the same words so mine were larger and that changed the look of the card. And I placed the fussy cut pieces on the card differently. I do like how the card turned out, it's got a nice rich look to it.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's Christmas card,
Wanda
