Sophisticated Sled, Greetings of the Season, Christmas Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a Christmas card to share with you. I found this card on Pinterest and I thought I would give it a try. There's no instructions so I had to figure it out myself. You can see the original card here (I made several changes). Please read on to see how the card was made.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left. I cut a 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" piece of Basic White card stock and I textured it using the "Snowflake Sky" embossing folder. Then I trimmed it to 4" x 5-1/4". I glued it to the card base.

Next I cut a 5-1/4" x 1-1/2" piece of Basic White card stock. On top of that I taped a 1-1/4" x 5" strip of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Snowy Scenes" 12" x 12" package.  I glued the strip to the center of the card.

Next I cut the Basic White rectangle using the die from the "Everyday Details" set.  Now here's the fun part. I added the red and white Baker's Twine on two corners. You are going to need about 8" for each corner. If you are going to do this, I recommend using a little bit of school glue on the end and allow it to dry. This will keep the threads together and make it easier to thread. Or if you have a needle with a large eye you can thread that. I just used the glue. You are going to want to do this before you begin the card. When I threaded the corners I started at the tip and inserted the thread in the hole next to the one I just went through. If you sew straight across on the back you will waste a lot of twine and the bulk might get in the way of the Dimensionals.

Once the threading was done (this was the reason I was drawn to the card online) I began the sled assembly. The sled is from the "Sophisticated Sled" bundle. The runners were cut using some silver foil card stock. The body of the sled was cut using Pecan Pie card stock. I cut three of the greenery pieces, one of Garden Green, one of Basic White and one of Old Olive. I glued them together in the center. The bow was fussy cut from a swag image in the bundle. The skates were cut from Basic White card stock, the blades were cut from silver foil card stock and the laces were cut from Real Red card stock. I glued the bed of the sled on top of the runners. Then the greenery was glued in place. I glued the skates together. I cut a 3" piece of Baker's Twine, folded it in half and then glued the center to the greenery. The bow was glued on top of the twine. The skates were glued in place over the twine ends.

The words are from the "Sophisticated Sled" bundle and were stamped using Real Red ink on Basic White card stock. I cut them using the tag die from the "Greetings of the Season" bundle.

I thought I'd dress it up just a bit and I glued on some snowflakes from the "White Loose Snowflakes" container. There's a lot of them in the container and I bought two containers. Why I don't know, but I did. I do love snowflakes and maybe I thought they looked so cute in the catalog. They are cuter in person.  I glued some on the card and it was a perfect touch. And that was it. I like how the card turned out. If I were to make another one I think I would use my Real Red Blends Pen and color the twine. I think red would have been prettier in the corners, it would stand out better. I am pleased with how it looks as it is but the red would pop more.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's Christmas card,

Snowy Wonder, Take a Bow, Sophisticated Sled, Snowy Scenes, Christmas Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a fun Christmas card to share with you. I had found the layout on Pinterest and wanted to give it a try. You can see that card here. I went to the website and tried to find any measurements but I had no luck. Please read on to see how I made the card.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the bottom and the fold is on the top. I cut a 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" piece of Basic White and I textured it using the "Snowflake Sky" embossing folder. Then I cut it to 4" x 5-1/4". I glued it to the front of the card.

The strips were done next. I used the Designer Series Paper (DSP) "Take a Bow" 6"stack and cut them at 4-3/4" x 1" and 4-1/4" x 1/2".  I glued them in place on the front of the card. The larger one is about 3/8" from the left edge and the green one is about 1" from the left edge.

Next I cut the circles using the 9th and 10th die from the "Deckled Circles" set. The large one is of Real Red card stock and the smaller one is from the "Take a Bow" stack. I also cut one using the smaller die on a piece of Basic White card stock. I taped the DSP circle to the Real Red circle. I tore the Basic White circle and taped one piece on top of the other circles and on the other side of that Basic White circle I tore a smaller piece and taped that on top of the other piece of Basic White torn piece.

The snowman is from the "Snowy Scenes" DSP 12" x 12" package. I used the matching die from the "Snowy Wonder" bundle. I fussy cut two trees from that same package of DSP. I added tape and slipped the bottoms under the torn Basic White piece. Tape was added to the snowman and it was slipped under the top torn Basic White piece. I added Dimensionals to the back of the circles and set it in place on the front of the card about 1" up from the bottom edge.

The words are from the "Sophisticated Sled" bundle and were stamped using Garden Green ink. I cut them out using the die from the "Greetings of the Season" bundle. The dies in that set are tags. I add a Dimensional to the left side and tape to the right. I set the piece in place on top of the circle at angle. A double bow of red and white Baker's Twine was tied and glued in place.

For a final touch I added some of the cute Peppermint Candies embellishments.  I'm SO glad I got mine when I did, they are still sold out (again). We all need to contact Stampin' Up! and beg them to bring them back next year.  Anyway, the card is done and I think it's got a very festive look to it.  I could have made the background behind the snowman a bit more wintery but I do like how festive the stripes make it.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's Christmas card,

I will be back tomorrow with a fun card to share with you.

Greetings of the Season, Sophisticated Sled, Christmas Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a pretty card to share with you. I found it on Pinterest. It is originally the cover of a box so I had to improvise a very tiny bit. You can see that box here. Please read on to see how I made the card.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Real Red card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left. I cut a 4' x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White and taped it to the inside.

Then I cut a 3-1/4" x 4-3/4" piece of Basic White card stock for the layer on the front. On top of that is a 4-1/4" x 3" piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Take a Bow" 6" x 6" stack. I taped it to the Basic White piece and then I taped that to the front of the card, I centered it as much as I could by eyeing it.

Next I cut the tag from the "Greetings of the Season" bundle using Basic White card stock.

The sled and all the other components to it were cut next. They are from the "Sophisticated Sled" bundle.  The runners on the sled and the blades on the skates were cut using silver foil card stock.  The skates were cut using Basic White card stock. The laces were cut using a scrap of Real Red card stock. The bed of the sled was cut using Pecan Pie card stock. The greenery was cut using Old Olive and Garden Green card stock.

The words are from the same "Sophisticated Sled" bundle and were stamped using Early Espresso in on a scrap piece of Crumb Cake card stock. Then they were cut using the small die from the "Greetings of the Season" bundle.

I glued the sled together. The greenery was added next. I cut the Old Olive one in half and glued the pieces separately.  The laces were glued into the slit on the skates and they were glued to the front of the sled.

I took a piece of ribbon (retired) and thread it through the large white tag and then through the word tag. A piece of the Cherry Cobbler Baker's Twine was tied into a bow around the ribbon. I tied a knot first so it would stay and then I tied the bow. I added a little it of glue to the knot on the bow so it stayed in place. I used school glue for that because the Mono glue can be a bit sticky when it dries. (ever try to get that glue off your fingers?  UGH!!)

Once the pieces were all in place I added tape to the back of the large white tag and set it in place on the front of the card and the card was done.

This is such a pretty card and I love how it turned out. I also like the green one that was on the original post. I may have to give that one a try later in the week.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's Christmas card,

Sparkling Snowflakes, Snowflake Sky, One of a Kind, Christmas Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a Christmas card to share with you. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock and textured it using the "So Swirly" embossing folder. I glued that to the front of the card. I use glue because tape doesn't cover all the indentations on the back and you don't get a good adhesion. I don't feel it sticks as well anyway.

Next I took a 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" piece of Basic White card stock and I stamped the three little snowflakes from the "One of a Kind" bundle using Pool Party ink. I cut a 7/8" x 4" strip from that piece. I cut several of them so I could make more than one card.

I took another 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" piece of Basic White card stock and I textured it using the "Snowflake Sky" embossing folder. I cut the strip on the left at 1" x 4" and the right strip at 1/2" x 4".

A 3" x 4" piece of Pool Party was cut and  I glued the three strips in place on it. Then I glued that to the front of the card.

The words are from the "Sparkling Snowflakes" set using Pool Party ink on a scrap piece of Basic White card stock. I cut them out using a die from the "Stylish Shapes" set. I set the piece in place on the front of the card using Dimensionals.

I die cut the snowflake from the "One of a Kind" bundle using Basic White card stock. I added a small Dimensional behind it and set it in place on the front of the card. A little rhinestone was added to the center of the snowflake and the card was done.

This was a very fun card to make and I really like the colors.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's Christmas card,

Sparkling Snowflakes, Frozen Edges, One of a Kind, Christmas Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a snowflake Christmas card to share with you. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the bottom and the fold is on the top.

On the front of the card I used my blending brush and Pool Party ink and scrubbed the color in about half way up.

I took a 4-1/4" x 5-1/2"piece of Basic White and I cut it using the die from the "Frozen Edges" die set. I just guessed at how far I wanted it up on that piece.  This will depend on the wording you are going to use.

The words are from the "Sparkling Snowflakes" set and were stamped using Pool Party ink.

I glued the "Frozen Edges" piece in place. I didn't want to use tape because I was afraid it might rip some of the delicate detailed snowflakes.

Next I took some scrap pieces of Basic White card stock and I lightly scrubbed on some Pool Party ink. I cut out the snowflakes using the die from the "One of a Kind" bundle. I glued them in place on the upper part of the card. Then I had an after thought. Being the wording mentioned sparkle, I thought the snowflakes should sparkle so I took my Wink of Stella pen and colored the snowflakes. It didn't show up in the picture but they do have a nice shimmer to them.

This was a very fun and quick card to make. I like how soft it looks.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's Christmas card,

Sophisticated Sled, Snowy Scenes, Peekaboo Flap Technique, Christmas Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a fun card to share with you. The technique is called the "Peekaboo Flap".  I found it on Pinterest. You can see the original card here. If you click through there's even a PDF file you can download for free that will show you how it's made. Please read on to see how I made today's card.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Garden Green card stock. It opens on the bottom and the fold is on the top. I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock for the inside (don't tape it in place yet.

The Designer Series Paper (DSP) was cut next. It measures 5-1/4" x 4" and is from the "Take a Bow" 6" x 6" stack. I taped it to the front of the card. Then I cut the center out using the 4th largest die in the "Countryside Corners" set.

Using the same die I cut a Pool Party piece and textured it using the "Snowflake Sky" embossing folder.

The piece that will be placed on top of the textured piece was cut from Basic White card stock using the 5th largest die in the set. Using Pool Party ink and my Blending Brush I scrubbed on some color. I glued the two pieces together.

I fussy cut the globe from the "Snowy Scenes" 12" x 12" package of DSP. On the other side of the globe sheet is the pretty snowflake piece. I cut that strip at 1-1/2" x 5".  I snipped the top to give it the two points. I folded the piece so the top part was 4" long, from the tip to the fold. I glued the 1" of the folded piece to the back center of the Basic White piece. I'll give you a little tip on how I found center quickly and got the piece on straight. Making sure my fold was straight helped with that. On the upper part of the Basic White piece I found center and just touched the edge a bit with my fingernail to make the tiniest dent on the top. I eyed the center of the arrow/ribbon end and taped the bottom part in place. You can also measure 1-7/8" from either side of the Basic White piece and taped the back 1" of the strip in place.

Once the strip is in place then I taped the Basic White piece to the inside of the card. I slipped the ribbon piece through the opening of the front of the card.

I taped the Pool Party layered piece in place on the ribbon. Make sure you only place the tape where the ribbon is in the opening. I used a lot of tape there.

Next I stamped the words on the globe. They are from the "Sophisticated Sled" bundle using black Memento ink. My pad was just recently inked so it was a bit juicy and made the words thicker. The I added the globe using Dimensionals.

For the final touch I added a bunch of the cute little snowflakes from the "White Loose Snowflakes" container. And the card was done.

I thought this was a fun card to make. I would rather have had something else for the background on the card base but I was limited in colors with my DSP. Maybe if I would have switched the ribbon strip color for the green snowflake color.  Hmmm, sounds like it might be prettier.  But I think I was looking at colors and found the center might be too washed out that way. Oh well, it is what it is. It was still fun to make.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's Christmas card,

Sophisticated Sled, Take a Bow, Wildflower Designs, Christmas Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a Christmas card to share with you. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Real Red card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut two 4" x 5-1/4" pieces of Basic White card stock. One I taped to the inside and the other I textured using the "Snowflake Sky" embossing folder. I glued that to the front of the card.

The Designer Series Paper (DSP) was cut next. It's from the "Take a Bow" 6" x 6" stack. I cut it at 1-3/4" x 4" and the Real Red layer behind it was cut at 2" x 4-1/4". I taped the two together and glued them to the front of the card about 5/8" from the top, fold and bottom.

Next I cut the scalloped piece using a die from the "Wildflower Designs" bundle using Basic White card stock. I glued the frame piece in place on the center of the card. Before I glued the center piece in I stamped it using the words from the "Sophisticated Sled" bundle. Real Red ink was used for that.

The reindeer is from the "Reindeer Days" 12" x 12" package of DSP and was fussy cut. It was then set in place on the front of the card.

To finish off the card I used the "Red & White Adhesive-backed Peppermints" embellishments. I just love those things. I hope Stampin' Up! brings them back next year, they're just to cute. And the card was done.

This was a fun card to make and I love all the red and white on it.

Christmas Labels, Take a Bow, Joyful Images Ephemera, Christmas Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a quick and easy Christmas card to share with you. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Take a Bow" 6" x 6" stack. I taped it to the front of the card.

Next I cut the strips. The strips are from different piece of DSP from the same stack. I cut them at 1/2" x 3-3/4". And the Basic White layers behind them were cut at 3-3/4" x 4". I taped the strips together and then taped them to the front of the card. The top one is about 1" from the top and there's about 1/8" space between them. You can make the space as large as you wish. I chose that distance because I wanted the image to fit within it.

The circle image is from the "Joyful Images Ephemera" package. I set it in place using Dimensionals.

The words are from the "Christmas Labels" bundle and were stamped using Garden Green ink on a piece of Basic White card stock. I cut them out using a die from the same bundle. I set them in place using Dimensionals and the card was done.

This was such a quick card to make. I LOVE layers and this card had just enough layers to please me! LOL

Sophisticated Sled, Take a Bow, Wildflower Designs, Reindeer Days, Christmas Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a gift card holder Christmas card to share with you. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of the card is a 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" piece of Basic White card stock.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Take a Bow" 6" x 6" stack. I taped it to the card base.

The "Z" fold piece was cut at 4-1/4" x 9" and it was scored at 3" and 6".  On the front of the "Z" fold piece I taped a 2-3/4" x 4" piece of DSP from the same stack.

Next I made the pocket. It's a 3-1/4" x 3" piece of DSP that was scored on the sides at 1/4" and 3". Once scored it measured 2-3/4" x 3".  I used my bone folder on the score lines and then I glued them plus the bottom edge to the inside of the "Z" fold piece. Allow the glue to dry some before you slip in a gift card. If you're like me you want to see the card in the pocket right away.

On the front I taped a piece of Basic White card stock that was cut using the die from the "Wildflower Designs" bundle. I glued both pieces in place. I said both pieces because the die cuts the frame and the center at the same time. I just lined up the frame with the edges of the DSP and I glued it in place.

Before gluing the center part in place I stamped it using the wording from the "Sophisticated Sled" bundle and Real Red ink. I glued the "Z" fold piece to the front of the card

I fussy cut a deer from the "Reindeer Days" 12" x 12" package. I set it in place using Dimensionals.

A few peppermint candy embellishments were added to the front and the card was done.

This is such a super easy gift card holder to make. I love the red and white, it really says "Christmas".

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's Christmas gift card,

Reindeer Days, Snowflake Sky, Perennial Postage, Sophisticated Sled, Christmas Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a Christmas card to share with you that I found on the internet. You can see the original card here.  The card there is part of a purchased PDF so I don't think I can give measurements.  But I will give you the materials list because it's obvious by looking at the card that was posted there.

The base is a half-sheet of Real Red card stock. There's a layer of Basic White. Then a layer of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Reindeer Days" 12" x 12" package. On top of that is a piece of Basic White card stock that I textured using the "Snowflake Sky" embossing folder.

The deer are from the same "Reindeer Days" DSP package and were fussy cut. They are set on top of the Basic White die cut piece from the "Wildflower Designs" bundle.

The words I used are from the "Sophisticated Sled" bundle and were stamped using Real Red ink on a scrap piece of Basic White card stock. I cut them out using a die from the "Perennial Postage" package. I set it in place using Dimensionals.

Red and White Baker's Twine was used and some Red & White peppermints were added.  A

a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White was added to the inside for writing on.

I thought this was a fun card to make. I love all the red and white. And you can't beat those little peppermint candies. They were available the first part of October. I'd check every day. We were out of town and I checked and they were back in stock but I couldn't order them because I was out of town and the internet connection I had was not secure. UGH. And it wasn't until last week they came available again so I ordered 2 packages. I found out the next day they were sold out again. I hope Stampin' Up! realizes how popular these cuties are and brings them back next season.

Sophisticated Sled, Christmas Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a fun Christmas card to share with you. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. I cut a 4"x 5-1/4" piece of Smoky Slat for the layer and a 3-3/4" x 5" piece of Basic White card stock for the top layer. I textured it using the "Snowflake Sky" embossing folder. I glued it to the Smoky Slate piece and then I taped that to the card base.

Next I made the sled using the "Sophisticated Sled" bundle. I used Early Espresso for the runners on the sled and Pecan Pie for the bed. I glued the bed to the runners.

The greenery was cut next. I used Shaded Spruce, Soft Sea Foam and Old Olive card stock. I cut each one in half and glued them in place on the upper part of the sled.

Then I made the skates. I cut them using Basic White card stock and the laces were cut using Basic Black card stock. I glued the laces in place. I also cut two blade using silver card stock and I glued them in place. I set the skates together and added Dimensionals to the back.

I took a piece of black Baker's Twine and glued it to the center of the greenery and I let the ends hang down. I removed the backing from the Dimensionals on the back of the skates and I set them in place on the front of the card. I made sure the strings were under each skate to make it look like it was hanging from each one.

I had some gold ribbon so I tied a bow and glued it on top of the greenery.

The words are from the same bundle and were stamped using black Memento ink. I cut them out using the "Perennial Postage" dies. Dimensionals were added to the back and the piece was set in place on the front of the card.

I colored some crystal rhinestones using the dark Real Red Blends Pen and I set them in place on the greenery and the word piece. And that was it, the card was done.

I just love using this set. The skates are so cute and they look great on the sled. You can't go wrong with a card like this.

Season of Green & Gold, Christmas Labels, Christmas Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a quick and easy Christmas card to share with you. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. I cut a 4" x 5-1/4' piece of Old Olive card stock for the layer. On top of that is a 3-3/4" x 5" piece of Basic White that was textured using the "Distressed Tile" embossing folder. My piece was a quarter sheet and I trimmed it after embossing because the piece can sometimes not remain the same size as cut before texturing. I glued the embossed piece to the Old Olive piece and then I taped that to the front of the card.

Next I fussy cut the mistletoe piece from the "Season of Green & Gold" 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper (DSP). And I cut two bells from the same package. There are die cuts for greenery but I didn't purchase it, I just purchased the DSP. I glued the two bells together. I set the smaller one on top of the larger one to hide the bottom side. It was an edge piece and a little bit of the bell was missing. I didn't want to toss out that piece so I cut the bell and just covered the part that was missing.

The words are from the "Christmas Labels" bundle and were stamped using Old Olive ink. I cut the out with a matching die. I cut one of Old Olive card stock too. I felt the word piece needed a layer behind it. I just snipped the little spot on each corner. I taped the words to the Old Olive piece. Dimensionals were added to the back and I lightly set the piece on top of the card.

I added a little bit of glue to the leaves and slipped the mistletoe piece under the word piece. Before the glue set, I had added glue to the bells and slipped them under the mistletoe piece and the card was done. I had thought about adding some embellishment but I liked it just the way it was.

This was a very fun, quick and easy card to make.

Sophisticated Sled, Greetings of the Season, Christmas Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. I have been having SO much fun playing with the "Sophisticated Sled" bundle. I have created many cards and copied many cards using it. Today is a "copy" day. I found this card on Pinterest. You can see the original card here. There were no instructions on how it was made so please read on to see how I put it together.

The base of my card is a half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Real Red card stock for the top layer. I stamped the words from the "Greetings of the Season" bundle using black Memento ink.

The Designer Series Paper (DSP) is from the 6" x 6" "Iconic Celebrations" package. I cut it at 1-1/2" x 5-1/4". I taped it to the Real Red piece and then I taped that to the front of the card.

Next the circle was cut using a die from the "Spotlight on Nature" bundle. I taped it in place on the front of the card.

Then came the sled pieces. First I cut the skates using scraps of Basic White card stock. You could cut them when you do the circle but I didn't think of that at the time. Then I cut the sled runners and the skate laces from Real Red card stock. The greenery was cut from Garden Green card stock, you need two of those and the sled was cut using Pecan Pie card stock.  I also cut the blades of the skates using some silver foil card stock I had. I glued the laces to the skates and set them aside to dry.

I taped the bed of the sled to the runners. Then the greenery was added. I took some red and white Baker's Twine and tied a double bow and glued it to the center of the greenery. My twine was 12" long and I folded it in half before I tied the double bow.

When added the skated I made sure I had the ends of the red and white bow under them to make it look like they were hanging up by it.

And lastly I took a 6" piece of jute and tied a knot at each end. I trimmed the ends just a little so they looked even and I glued it to each side of the upper part of the sled bed. And the card was done.

This was such a fun card to make and I'd love to make more but I have so many other ones I want to try before that happens.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's Christmas card,

Sentimental Christmas, Regal Floral, Greetings of the Season, Christmas Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a quick Christmas card to share with you. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock. It was textured using the "Snowflake Sky" embossing folder.  I glued it to the card base.

Next I cut two pieces of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Take a Bow" 6"x 6" stack. They measure 2" x 3" each. I glued them to the front of the card. The top piece is about 5/8" from the edge and 5/8" from each side. The bottom piece is 5/8" from the bottom edge and each side.

The stocking is an image from the "Sentimental Christmas" 12" x 12" package of DSP.  I used the die from the "Regal Floral" bundle to cut it out. Dimensionals were added to the back and the piece was set in place on the front center of the card.

The words are from the "Greetings of the Season" bundle and were cut using the smallest stitched circle from the "Stylish Shapes" set. I set it in place using Dimensionals on the right side and tape on the left.

I had some green ribbon so I tied a double bow and glued it to the top of the stocking piece and the card was done.

This was a super quick and easy card to make.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's Christmas card,

Season of Green & Gold, Greetings of the Season, Snowflake Sky, Christmas Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have an elegant Christmas card to share with you. It was pretty quick to make too. I found it on Pinterest and I did change it a little. You can see the original card here. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Very Vanilla card stock. It's kind of nice to play with a different color card base other than just Basic White. This card opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

Next the Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Season of Green & Gold" 12" x 12" package was cut. These are actually strips and not a full piece. The strips measure 3/4" x 5-1/4" and you need two of them. I taped them to each side of the card.

Next I cut the Very Vanilla center piece. It measures 2-3/4" x 5-1/2" and there's another piece of Very Vanilla on top of that. It measures 2-1/2" x 5-1/4".  I textured it using the Snowflake Sky" embossing folder. I glued that piece to the other strip of Very Vanilla.

The piece with the words on it was cut next. I used the die from the "Greetings of the Season" bundle. The words were also from that bundle and they were stamped using Old Olive ink. I'm thinking Mossy Meadow ink would be pretty there too.

The mistletoe is from the same "Season of Green & Gold" DSP and was fussy cut. I didn't buy the bundle that this paper compliments, I just bought the paper. I wanted to but I had too many wants from the mini catalog that I had to pick and choose. So fussy cutting it is. The original card had the leaves that were stamped. But like I said, I didn't have the bundle so I just took one of the images on the DSP and fussy cut it. Dimensionals were added to the back of the die cut word piece and it was set in place on the center of the card.

Then the mistletoe piece was added with Dimensionals.

I had some vanilla colored satin ribbon and I tied a knot and snipped the ends. I glued it in place over the tag hole on the die cut piece. I did snip the end of the mistletoe off a bit because it was in the way of the bow.

Some pearls were added to give the piece a bit more of an elegant look and the card was done.

This was a fun card to make. It was quick and easy and I really do like this layout.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's Christmas card,

Snowy Wonder, Snowy Scenes, Joyful Images Ephemera, Christmas Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a fun Christmas card to share with you. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Poppy Parade card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock and taped it to the inside.

On the front I cut a 3-1/2" x 4-5/8" piece of Basic White for the bottom layer.

The top two layers were next. The Poppy Parade piece was cut at 3" x 4-1/8". And the Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Snowy Scenes" 12" x 12" package was cut at 2-7/8" x 4".

I used the tiniest amount of tape to hold the two pieces together. I added the tape in the area I thought the circle would be cut from. Using the 3rd smallest die in the "Deckled Circles" set I made the first opening. Then I removed the DSP from the card stock and using the 4th largest "Deckled Circle" I cut a ring from the DSP. I taped the two pieces together. My embossing machine pinched my two pieces together so tight I could see the line where the DSP was, so it was easy to line it all up again. Once that was taped in place I added Dimensionals to the back and set it in place on top of the Basic White piece.

The layered pieces were taped to the front of the card.

The words are from the "Snowy Wonder" bundle and were stamped using Poppy Parade ink. I cut them out using a die from the "Stylish Shapes" set. I thought it was just a bit too white so I used my Poppy Parade marker and colored around the edge being careful not to color over the stitched marks. I added Dimensionals to the back and set it in place at the bottom of the card.

The cute little mittens are from the "Joyful Images Ephemera" package. I set them in place using Dimensionals and the card was done.

This was a fun card to make. I'm such a lover of mittens and I just had to find a way to use these as a focal point. This layout took care of that.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's Christmas card,

Snowy Scenes, Sophisticated Sled, Christmas Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I've got a Christmas card to share with you. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the bottom and the fold is on the top.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Pool Party card stock for the layer. On top of that is a 3-3/4" x 5" piece of Basic White card stock that was textured using the "Snowflake Sky" embossing folder. I glued it to the Pool Party piece and then I taped that to the front of the card.

The two square layers were cut next. The Pool Party piece measures 2-3/4" x 2-3/4" and the top Basic White layer was cut at 2-1/2" x 2-1/2".  I used my Blending Brush with Pool Party ink and scrubbed on the color.

Sandwiched between the two squares is a 1-5/8" x 3-3/4" piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Snowy Scenes" 12" x 12" package. I used my grid paper to help guide in getting the pieces centered. I taped the DSP to the Pool Party square and then the Basic White piece (that was colored with Pool Party ink) on top of that. Dimensionals were added to the back and it was set in place on the center of the card.

The snow globe from the "Snowy Scenes" package was fussy cut. I stamped the words from the "Sophisticated Sled" bundle using black Memento ink. Dimensionals were added to the back and it was set in place on the top square.

And that was it. I was going to add some embellishments but I liked it just the way it was.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's Christmas card,

Sophisticated Sled, Iconic Celebrations, Christmas Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a Christmas card to share with you. I found it on Pinterest but I did make some changes. You can see the original card here. Please read on to see how I made it.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Iconic Celebrations" 6" x 6" stack. I taped it to the front of the card.

A 5-1/4" x 3"piece of Basic White card stock was cut and then textured using the "So Swirly" embossing folder. I glued the piece on top of the DSP, centering it as much as I could by eyeing it.

Next I cut the sleigh pieces from the "Sophisticated Sled" bundle. The body of the sleigh was cut from Misty Moonlight card stock. The runners were cut from some silver foil card stock. I also cut the skate blades from the silver card stock. And the laces on the skates were cut from a scrap of Misty Moonlight card stock. Though after seeing it all put together I think Boho Blue would have been a better choice for the laces.

The skates were cut using a scrap of Basic White card stock. I glued on the laces and blades. I glued the two skates together. Dimensionals were added to the back and they were set aside.

The "greenery" at the top was cut using Boho Blue card stock. I glued them in place on the top part of the sled.

I tied a silver bow and set it aside. I took a 3" piece of the silver cord and using a glue dot I set it in place in the center of the Boho Blue "greenery". I glued the ends down onto the bed of the sled so they would end up close to behind the skates as possible. I could have glued the ends to the back of the skates and then stuck the top part on the glue dot but I didn't think of that until just now.

Then the skates were set in place. I glued the silver bow in place. The sled was then glued in place on top of the textured Basic White piece.

The words came next, they are from the same "Sophisticated Sled" bundle. I stamped them using Misty Moonlight ink on a scrap piece of Basic White card stock. I cut them out using the die from the "Perennial Postage" set. Dimensionals were added to the back and it was set in place on the lower part of the card.

A few crystal rhinestones were added to the front of the card and the card was done.

I just LOVE this bundle and I think I'm going to keep it forever!  That's a long time! LOL

Spotlight on Nature, Snowy Scenes, Sophisticated Sled, Christmas Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a fun Christmas card to share with you. It's easy and pretty quick to make too. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of the card is a folded piece of Garden Green card stock. I was torn between that and Poppy Parade but the greens in the globe pushed more towards Garden Green. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left. I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White and I taped it to the inside.

Next I cut a piece of Basic White that measures 5-1/2" x 3-3/4".  I cut out the circle using a die from the "Spotlight on Nature. It was the third largest die that has a lined texture all around. There's two sets of circle dies in this package. This one was from one of the "sheets" and the border piece is on the other sheet, it was the second largest die. I cut it out on a separate piece of Basic White card stock. Then I had to take the first die I used and cut out the center. Now I was ready to texture it using the "Snowflake Sky" embossing folder.

I glued the die cut circle/ring to the opening on the textured piece.

Then I took a 3-1/4" x 3-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock, using my Blending Brush and Pool Party ink, I scrubbed on some color. I glued this piece to the back of the textured piece over the opening.

The snowman in the globe is from the "Snowy Scenes" 12" x 12" package of Designer Series Paper (DSP). I fussy cut it out, added Dimensionals to the back and set the piece in place on the bottom area of the opening.

I took some snowflakes from the "White Loose Snowflakes" container.

The words are from the "Sophisticated Sled" bundle and were stamped using Poppy Parade ink. I cut them out using the die from the "Nested Essentials" set.

Before adding the embossed piece to the front of the card, I took a 6" piece of ribbon and taped the ends to the back. then I set it in place on the front of the card.

I took 20" of ribbon and tied a double bow. I snipped the ends and glued the bow on top of the ribbon piece I had just added.

Some gold thread was used to tie a bow and that was set in place on top of the ribbon bow using a glue dot.

A little bit of glue was added to the one end of the piece and it was slid under the ribbon piece a bit and set in place.

For a final touch I added a few snowflakes to the word piece.

This was such a fun card and I am pleased at the way it turned out.

Sophisticated Sled, Snowflake Sky, Christmas Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a Christmas card to share with you. I found this card on Pinterest but I can't locate again. It was made by Terri Gaines but I changed it a little. She has a fancy fold and I just made a regular card with it and I added the wording. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Smoky Slate for the layer.  Using the skate laces die from the "Sophisticated Sled" bundle I cut it from the center of the piece. I set it aside.

Next I took a 5-1/2" x 4-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock and textured it using the "Snowflake Sky" embossing folder. Then I cut the piece at 3-3/4" and I left the length. I cut tore the bottom area in two places. I glued the top part down first, then the middle piece. Make sure you overlap the middle piece on top of the upper piece. And then add the bottom piece so the whole thing measures 5" long. The piece was then taped to the front of the card.

The sled was cut next. The runner was cut using Early Espresso card stock and the bed of the sled was cut using Pecan Pie card stock. I glued the pieces together and then I glued it to the front of the card.

I cut the skates from scraps of Basic White card stock and the blades were cut from some silver card stock. I glued the blades on and then I added a little bit of glue and slipped the lace piece in place. Dimensionals were added to the back and they were set in place on the front of the card.

A double bow of linen thread was tied and glued in place at the top of the sled runner.

The words are from the same "Sophisticated Sled" and were stamped on a scrap piece of Basic White card stock using Real Red ink. I cut then out using the "Perennial Postage" die set. The words were set in place using Dimensionals and the card was done.

This was a fun card to make and I love the look of it.

Snowy Scenes, Snowy Wonder, Christmas Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a quick Christmas card to share with you. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Poppy Parade card stock for the layer. Then I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock that I had textured using the "Snowflake Sky" embossing folder. I trimmed it down to 3-7/8" x 5-3/8" and glued it to the Poppy Parade piece. Then I taped that to the front of the card.

Next I cut the rectangles. The layers are Poppy Parade and measure 2" x 3" each and the Designer Series Paper (DSP) is from the "Snowy Scenes" 12" x 12" package and were cut at 1-3/4" x 2-3/4". I taped the two pieces together and then I glued them to the front of the card.

The cute snow globe is from the same "Snowy Scenes" package. I fussy cut it and set it on the front of the card using Dimensionals.

The words are from the "Snowy Wonder" bundle and were stamped using Poppy Parade ink on a scrap piece of Basic Whit card stock. I cut them out using the die from the "Nested Essentials" set. I added Dimensionals on the left and tape on the right and set it in place on the front of the card.

I glued on some snowflakes from the "White Loose Snowflakes" container and the card was done.

This was a fun card to make. I LOVE those little snowflakes, they're SO darn cute!

Regal Winter, Cheerful Daisies, Birthday Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a very simple, quick and easy card to share with you. This is one of my favorite layouts to play with. It allows you to use up some scrap card stock or make make 16 cards from a 12" x 12" sheet. Please read on to see how my card was made.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Cherry Cobbler card stock for the layer.

The Basic White layer was cut at 4-1/4" x 3-1/8".  On top of that is a 3" x 3" piece of Designer Series Paper (DPS) from the "Regal Winter" 12" x 12" package. I taped it to the Basic White piece.

Next I stamped the words from the "Cheerful Daisies" bundle using black Memento ink.

Then I took some thin ribbon (retired) that I had and cut it 5" long. I taped the ends to the back, lining it up on the front with the bottom of the DSP. I taped the piece to the front of the card and the card was done.

I am so pleased at how this card turned out. It's got such a rich look. I made two at the same time, not because it was quick (which it was) but my hubby has twin sisters and their birthdays are on Saturday so I needed to get their cards done. They are done and ready for him to sign them!

Thank you SO much for taking your time to stop in and see today's birthday card,

Greetings of the Season, Snowy Scenes, Christmas Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a quick and easy Christmas card to share with you. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Pool Party card stock for the layer. Once I had put the card together I thought that this piece would have looked nicer if it had been textured using the "Snowflake Sky" embossing folder. I taped the piece to the card base.

Next I cut a 4-1/4" x 3-1/8" piece of Basic White and on top of that is a 3" x 3" piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Snowy Scenes" 12" x 12" package. I taped this piece in place so I could see how much space I had for the words.

The words are from the "Greetings of the Season" bundle. I stamped them using Poppy Parade ink.

From the same "Snowy Scenes" DSP package I had fussy cut a snow globe from one of the sheets. I was going to tape it to the DSP but it kind of got lost so I took a piece of Garden Green card stock and I cut a circle from the "Stylish Shapes" set. I taped the globe part to the circle. I added Dimensionals to the back and I set it aside.

I took a 5" piece of ribbon (retired) and taped the ends on the backside. Then I taped this piece to the front of the card. I centered it by eyeing it.

I removed the backing from the Dimensionals and set the globe piece in place and the card was done.

This was such a fun and quick card to make and I'm very pleased with the way it turned out.

Sophisticated Sled, Greetings of the Season, Christmas Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a Christmas card to share with you. Please read on to see how it was made.

I have not heard anything about the new format so I'm going back to the old one (it's quicker to do and all the materials are still listed in the paragraphs.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut a 4-1/8" x 5-3/8" piece of Soft Sea Foam card stock for the layer.

Next I took a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock and I stamped the wreath on it from the "Sophisticated Sled" bundle using Soft Sea Foam ink. I marked the top right down 1" and the top left down 1-3/4".  I took the piece to my cutter and cut it from mark to mark. I made sure that the mark was on the other side of the blade. Meaning that the marks would be on the piece that I don't need for this card.

Once the stamped Basic White piece was cut, I taped it to the Soft Sea Foam piece and then I took it to the paper trimmer to cut off the upper part leaving a layer that matched the sides and bottom. I was close but mine was a little short but it's okay, the Soft Sea Foam color is so light only those who read this will notice! After cutting I taped those two layers to the front of the card.

The words were done next. They are from the "Greetings of the Season" bundle and were stamped using Garden Green ink. After I had finished making the card I realized that Real Red would have been better but it's still nice. The green gives it a more toned down feel.

The sled was made using the dies in the "Sophisticated Sled" bundle. I cut the runner using Early Espresso card stock. The body of the sled was cut from Pecan Pie card stock. I glued the two pieces together.

The greenery was cut using a die from the same bundle. I used Old Olive and Mossy Meadow card stock. I cut the Old Olive one in half. I glued the Mossy Meadow piece down on the sled and then the two pieces of Old Olive. I tied a double bow using white Baker's Twine and I used a dot of glue to hold it in place on the greenery.

Using my dark Cherry Cobbler Blends Pen I colored some pearls and added them to the greenery.

The skates and laces were cut using the dies in the "Sophisticated Sled" bundle. I glued the laces in place. I had also cut two "blades" using silver card stock and I glued them in place too.  I added a little tape to the skates and stuck them together where I thought they looked good. Then I added Dimensionals to the back and I set them in place on the top of the sled.

Dimensionals were added to the back of the sled and it was set in place on the front of the card. And that was it, the card was done.

I love using this set and making cards with both the sled and the skates on it. I think it's one of my favorite sets this season.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's Christmas card,

Snowy Wonder, Snowy Scenes, Sophisticated Sled, Christmas Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a Christmas card to share with you. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the bottom and the fold is on the top.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Poppy Parade card stock for the layer. On top of that is a 3-3/4" x 5" piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Snowy Scenes" 12" x 12" package. I taped it to the Poppy Parade piece and then that was taped to the front of the card.

The snowman and tree are from the same package of DSP. I fussy cut the tree but the snowman was cut using the die from the "Snowy Wonder" bundle.

I had a scrap piece of Poppy Parade, it measures 4" x 1-1/2" and I textured it using the "Snowflake Sky" embossing folder.

The squares were both cut from Basic White card stock. They measure 2-1/2" x 2-1/2" and the other measures 2-3/4" x 2-3/4".  On the smaller piece I used my Blending Brush and scrubbed on some Pool Party ink. I also stamped some Pool Party snowflakes from the "Snowy Wonder" bundle. I used the Blending Brush on the edges of the piece to, kind of like sponging. I do prefer sponging the edges than using the brush on them.

I took the larger piece and taped the Poppy Parade strip to it, centering it as much as I could by eyeing it. It sticks out beyond the larger square about 5/8" on each side and the same from the top. Then I taped the stamped square to the top of that. So the Poppy Parade piece is sandwiched between the two squares. Dimensionals were added to the back and the piece was set in place on the center of the card.

I added a little tape to the left side of the snowman and set it on the fussy cut tree where I thought it would look the best. Then I turned it over and added Dimensionals. I set it on the top square.

The words are from the "Sophisticated Sled" and were stamped on a scrap piece of Basic White card stock using Pool Party ink. I added small Dimensions to the right side where it wouldn't be touching any card stock. Where it touches the card stock I added tape. I set the piece in place and the card was done.

This was such a fun card to make. It was also very quick and easy too! Even the little bit of fussy cutting!

One of a Kind, Greetings of the Season, Christmas Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a wintry Christmas card to share with you. Please read on to see how it was made.

Materials list:

1/2 sheet of Garden Green card stock
4" x 5-1/4" Basic White card stock, 2 pieces
3-7/8" x 5-1/8" Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Snowy Scenes" package
Stitched circle dies from the "Stylish Shapes" set
Snowflake die from the "One of a Kind" bundle
"Greetings of the Season" bundle
Scrap Basic White for the snowflakes
Pearls
Pool Party ink
Small Dimensionals
Double-sided tape

The first thing I did was I taped the DSP to one of the Basic White pieces. Then I lined up the 2nd largest circle die in the "Stylish Shapes" set so there was equal spacing on the top and two sides. I cut the pieces out.

Then I taped the piece on top of the Garden Green card front. I lined up the 3rd largest circle on top of the Garden Green opening. I cut the circle out of it.

Next I took a pencil and lightly traced it on the Basic White piece that will go on the inside of the card. I didn't tape it down, I just lined it up and closed the card and then traced the circle opening. Now here is where you would really benefit from a kneadable eraser. It only picks up the graphite and does not leave any eraser stubble behind nor does it wear on your paper and make it pill. They are not very expensive and you can find them in the drawing areas of you craft/hobby store. Since they are kneadable I pull off a pinch, remove the eraser in my mechanical pencil and form the eraser to fit. I will not be without it when crafting. Anyway, once my circle was lightly drawn I could see where the words needed to be stamped. The words were stamped using Pool Party in and then the circle was erased. Then I taped the piece to the inside of the card.

On the front I had die cut three snowflakes from the "One of a Kind" bundle using Basic White card stock. I set them in place using small Dimensionals and to hide the stick part that shows through the opening of the snowflake centers I added pearls. If I were to make them to send I think I would use some sparkly white glitter paper (retired - though I think some things should be basic staples). And the card was done.

This was a fun, quick and easy card to make. P.S. My circle really is centered, it's just bad photography!

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's Christmas card,

Sentimental Christmas, Take a Bow, Snowy Wonder, One of a Kind, Christmas Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a quick and easy Christmas card to share with you.  Please read on to see how it was made.

Materials used here:

1/2 sheet of Basic White card stock
DSP from the Sentimental Christmas package
DSP from the Take a Bow stack
DSP from the Snowy Wonder package
One of a Kind stamp set (for the words)
Real Red ink
Dimensionals
Rhinestones to embellish the card
Double-sided tape

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.
I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Sentimental Christmas" 12" x 12" package. I taped it to the front of the card.

Next  cut a 1-1/2" x 5-1/4" piece of DSP from the "Take a Bow" 6" x 6" stack and I taped it to the left side of the card. I lined it up so the DSP behind it isn't showing.

The snowman is from the "Snowy Scenes" 12" x 12" package and was fussy cut. There is a die in the "Snowy Wonder" bundle that could be used to cut the pieces out. I fussy cut because I forgot I bought the bundle. But upon looking at the dies, the one for the upper part of the globe would have made the globe a bit smaller and the base would have been the same size. It didn't take that long to fussy cut it and it was easy because there wasn't a lot of nooks and crannies to deal with. I added Dimensionals to the back and I set the piece on the front of the card.

The words came next. They are from the "One of a Kind" bundle and were stamped using Real Red ink. They were then cut using the second largest die in the "Deckled Circles" set. I like using those dies for winter words because I think it's got the look of a rough snowball. I used Dimensionals and tape to set the piece in place on the front of the card.

For the final touch I added some crystal rhinestones to the front and the card was done.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's Christmas card,

Greetings of the Season, Season of Green & Gold, Christmas Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a Christmas card to share with you. I found it on Pinterest. You can see the original card here. I changed it a bit. I couldn't find any measurements there so I had to wing it. Please read on to see how it was made.

Materials used here:

Old Olive card stock (1/2 sheet folded)
Season of Gold & Green DSP
Pecan Pie card stock (for the layer behind the strip and circle)
Basic White card stock (1/4 sheet for inside and a piece for the          words
Pecan Pie ink
Dimensionals
Double-sided tape
Sequins

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Old Olive card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left. I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock and taped it to the inside.

On the front I cut a piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Season of Green & Gold" 12" x 12" package. The strip measures 1-3/4" x 5-1/2".  The layer behind it measures 2" x 5-1/2". I taped the two layers together and then taped that to the front of the card about 3/8" from the fold.

Then I fussy cut two bunches of leaves and a set of bells from the same package of DSP.

The words are from the "Greetings of the Season" set and were stamped using Pecan Pie ink on Basic White card stock. I cut them out using the 9th die from the "Deckled Circles" set. Then I cut a Pecan Pie circle using the 9th die from that same set. I taped the circles together. Dimensionals were added to the back and it was set aside.

I laid the fussy cut pieces on the front of the card and laid the circle on top to see where the pieces would look the best. I removed the circles piece and taped down the fussy cut pieces. Then I set the circle pieces in place. Using both tape and Dimensionals on the bells and I set them in place on the front of the card.

I took some gold sequins I had and glued them to the front of the card and the card was done.

My card was a bit different. I didn't have the same words so mine were larger and that changed the look of the card. And I placed the fussy cut pieces on the card differently. I do like how the card turned out, it's got a nice rich look to it.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's Christmas card,

Greetings of the Season, Take a Bow, Joyful Images Ephemera, Christmas Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a Christmas card to share with you. I found one on the internet that caught my eye. I didn't have the same images to duplicate that card so I went with what I have. You can see the original card here. Please read on to see how I made the card. I'm trying a new format out. I thought I'd list the supplies/materials needed first so you can gather them and get them ready  for when you read on to see how the card was assembled. Please let me know if you like it.

To make this card I used:

4-1/4" x 8-1/2" piece of Real Red card stock (folded in half)
4" x 4" Basic White card stock
3-1/4" x 4" piece of Real Red card stock.
2-3/4" x 3-1/2" piece of Basic White card stock.
2" x 4" Designer Series Paper (DS) from the "Take a Bow" 6" x 6" stack
Scrap piece of Basic White card stock
Real Red ink
Pool Party ink
Blending Brush
Image (stamped or die cut)
Words
Tape
Dimensionals
Embellishments

Okay, let's begin. The first thing I did was I taped the 4" x 4" Basic White piece to the inside.

The piece of DSP was taped on about 3/4" up from the bottom.

The 3-1/4" x 4" piece of Real Red card stock was taped on next. I had taken a 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" piece of copier paper (card stock will work too) and I lined up the bottom edge with the card's bottom edge. Then I taped the Real Red piece in place by lining up the top edge with top edge of the copier paper. Make sure you don't get tape on the whole piece. About 1-1/4" of the Real Red piece is exposed on the backside. This is where you do not want tape.

I cut the rectangle using the largest stitched rectangle from the "Nested Essentials" set on a 2-3/4" x 3-1/2" piece of Basic White card stock. I used Pool Party ink on my Blending Brush and scrubbed it on. I also scrubbed some on the scrap piece of Basic White for the words. I centered the rectangle on top of the Real Red rectangle and taped it in place.

The words I used are from the "Greetings of the Season" bundle and were stamped using Real Red ink. I cut them out using the second smallest circle in the "Deckled Circles" die set.

The cute little stocking is from the "Joyful Images Ephemera" package. I set it in place using Dimensionals.

The words were set in place with Dimensionals as well.

I have been trying for a long time to get the peppermint candy embellishments from Stampin' Up! and they've been sold out. The one time they were not sold out I wasn't able to order them because I was out of town and on a computer that wasn't secure. When I got home the next day (yes, the next day) they were sold out again. I think this is an item Stampin' Up! needs to bring back next year, it's obviously very popular.  Anyway, I had some tiny polymer clay ones that I had made years ago so I thought I'd use them on my card. I'm considering making some in 4, 5 and 6mm.  They don't take long to make but it's craft fair season and this is something that I don't have time to squeeze in on my list of things I need to get done before the last two sales. But after the 16th I'll have time and I may even put some in my web store. They will look like the ones on my card except nicer. I know how to make them better than I did 10 years ago.

This was a fun card to make and I thought it was a great way to focus on the die cut stocking. Please let me know what you think of the new format.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's Christmas card,
