The base of the card is a half-sheet of Shy Shamrock. I have hardly used this color and being I bought a full package of it, I should try using it more. Once cut in half on the short size it measures 4-1/4" x 11" This is a "Book" card so it's got a couple more score lines on it than a regular card. You will need to score this on the long side at 4-1/4", 5-1/2" and 6-3/4". The first thing I do after scoring is I glue the center shut. Then I tape a 4" x 4" piece of Basic White to the inside.
On the front, in the left thin panel is a 1" x 4" piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Unbounded Beauty" 12" x 12" package. I taped that strip in place.
Then on the right side I cut a 4" x 4" piece of DSP from the same package and I taped that in place.
I die cut the ring using two circles from the "Stylish Shapes" set on a piece of Shy Shamrock. Dimensionals were added to the back and the piece was set aside.
A strip measuring 1/2" x 2-1/4" and was taped to the front of the card about 7/8" up from the bottom and 1/4" from the right edge. Then the ring was added
I stamped the flowers from the "Flowers of Beauty" bundle. One was stamped using Peach Pie and the other using Berry Burst. I stamped full ink for the outline piece and stamped off once for the inside of the flowers. I did the same with the leaves but I used Shy Shamrock ink. The bundle has matching dies so I cut each one out. If you don't have the dies you can fussy cut, there's not a lot of details to the images so it's pretty simple cutting.
The leaves and flowers were set in place on the lower left side of the ring. I did prop up the flowers on the inside of the ring with Dimensionals.
The "hello" is from the "Unbounded Love" bundle using Berry Burst ink. I cut them out using the two circle dies in the bundle. I taped the circles together and I used Dimensionals on the back to set it in place. Be careful not to put the Dimensionals where it would sit on the ring. This is one thing I changed from the original card.
I took a piece of ribbon (retired) and wrapped it around the card and tied it in a bow. I slipped a glue dot under the knot to hold it in place.
And that was it, the card was done. These book cards are fun to make.
Thank you SO much for taking your time to stop in and see today's friendship card,
Wanda
