Sophisticated Sled, Winter Meadow, Christmas Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a Christmas card to share with you using the "Sophisticated Sled" bundle. Please read on to see how the card was made.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Pretty Peacock card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut two 4" x 5-1/4" pieces of Basic White card stock. I taped one to the inside of the card and one on the front

I took another piece of Pretty Peacock card stock and using the "Perennial Postage" die set I cut out the second largest piece.

The greenery and the laces for the skates were cut from the center of that piece before I went any further.

A 4-1/4" x 3" piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Winter Meadow" 12" x 12" package and was taped to the Pretty Peacock die cut piece.

I glued the Pretty Peacock greenery to the center of the piece. Then I cut a Basic White one, I also cut the skates at the same time. I cut it in half and glued that on top of the Pretty Peacock one.

The laces were slid into the slit on the skates and were glued in place. The blades were glued in place too. A piece of Baker's Twine was taped to the back of the skates. I cut it 3" long and set the ends in place on the backs of the skates. About 1-1/4" of the twine is above the skates on each one. I slipped the top part of the twine under the greenery with a little bit of glue. Dimensionals were added behind the skates and they were set in place on the front of the card.

A white bow was tied and set in place with a glue dot.

The words are from the "Sophisticated Sled" bundle and were stamped using Pretty Peacock ink. I cut them out with the "Labeled with Love" die set. Dimensionals were added to the back and it was set in place on the front of the card and the card was done.

This was a fun card to make. I don't often make monochromatic cards and it was a nice change.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's Christmas card,
Wanda
