The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.
I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Blueberry Bliss for the layer. Then I cut a 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" piece of Blueberry Bliss for the textured piece. I used the "Forever Plaid" embossing folder to texture the piece. Place the card stock in the folder as straight as you can get it. Then it was trimmed to 3-7/8" x 5-1/8". I glued the two Blueberry Bliss pieces together.
Next came the sleigh. Using the "Sophisticated Sled" bundle I cut the runners I used Early Espresso card stock. For the bed of the sled I used Pecan Pie card stock. I glued the sled to the runner.
The skates and laces were cut using Basic White card stock. I slipped the laces in the slot and added a dot of glue to hold them in place. I glued the two together a bit offset. Dimensionals were added to the back and they were set in place on the sled.
Mossy Meadow and Granny Apple Green card stock was cut for the greenery. I glued the Mossy Meadow one down first. I cut the Granny Apple Green piece in half and glued them at the center of the Mossy Meadow piece.
I tied a linen bow and glued it on top of the greenery. I colored some pearls using my dark Cherry Cobbler Blends pen and set them in place on the greenery.
Dimensionals were added to the back of the sled and it was set in place on the front of the card.
The words are from the same "Sophisticated Sled" bundle and were stamped using Basic White card stock and black Memento ink. I cut them out using the die from the "Stylish Shapes" set. I set them in place using Dimensionals and that was it.
This card has a lot of pieces to it but it's SO worth it. I really like how it turned out.
Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's Christmas card,
Wanda
