Reindeer Days, Christmas Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. The other day while looking around on the internet I saw a poem that I thought I would work into a card.  The poem was just too cute to pass up. I had purchased the "Reindeer Days" 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper (DSP) and what to my wondering eyes is in that package?  Reindeer! Please read on to see how I made today's card.

The base of my card is a half-sheet of Real Red card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut a 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" piece of Basic White card stock and textured it using the "Falling Snow" embossing folder. Then I trimmed that piece to 4" x 5-1/4". I glued it to the front of the card. I also cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White and I taped it to the inside.

The words were typed on my computer. I used Liberation Serif font at size 16 for the title, 9 for the author and 12 for the body.  If you'd like a pdf (4 per sheet) I will gladly email it to you. You can find my email on the right sidebar just past the large QR code. It reads "Got a Question".  I trimmed the piece to measure 2-5/8" x 4" and the Real Red layer is cut at 2-7/8" x 4-1/4". I taped the two layers together. Dimensionals were added to the back and it was set in place on the front of the card.

I fussy cut a reindeer from the "Reindeer Days" DSP. I used both tape and small Dimensionals to affix it to the card. Any part that touched the word piece got tape and the rest got Dimensionals.

I added a few snowflakes from the "White Loose Snowflakes" container. I just glued them in place.  And that was it, the card was done.

This was a fun card to make and I was so glad I ran across that cute poem.  And even better yet, I was thrilled that I had the reindeer!

Thank you Dee. I did fix the typo on the last line, mush should be must. And hopefully I can replace the photo wihtout messing up the page. Blogger gets a bit quirky at times. If I can't, this pic will remain but the word will be fixed in the PDF and on my card. Thanks again for catching that.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's Christmas card,
Wanda

  1. Hi Wanda, really cute! You might want to fix a typo in the last line "should be "must".
