Thoughtful Journey, Stylish Shaped, Get Well Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a get well card to share with you. I found it on the internet. You can see the original card here.  Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Lost Lagoon card stock for the layer. On top of that is a 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Thoughtful Journey" 6" x 6" stack. I taped that to the Lost Lagoon piece and then I taped it to the card base.

The flowers and stem were cut using the die from the "Thoughtful Wishes' bundle. I cut one from a piece of Mossy Meadow and one from Fresh Freesia card stock. I snipped the flowers off on the Fresh Freesia piece and glued them to the Mossy Meadow piece. I would recommend cutting them one or two at a time to keep them in order. I didn't do that so I had to play the matching game! I glued the pieces in place.

Then the stem was glued to the front of the card. I used little dots of glue on each flower and that was enough to hold them down.

The words were done on my computer because I couldn't find get well words that would work. I used the Arial Black font for the "get well" part. I typed it in all capital letters at 20 pt.  And the "soon" was done using the "Bahnschrift Light" italic font at 20 pt. Then I printed them out on a piece of Wild Wheat card stock.  I cut the words out using the die from the "Stylish Shapes" set. I also cut a Fresh Freesia piece from the same bundle. I taped the two pieces together.

I took a piece of linen thread and made some loops on the word piece. Dimensionals were added to the back that helped hold the thread down. I set the piece in place on the front of the card.

Some sequins were glued on to the front of the card and the card was done. I was just using what I had on hand.

This was a super fun and quick card to make. Well, it did take me a little while to get the words right but other than that it was really quick. I think it's pretty and it should cheer up the one receiving it.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's get well card,
Wanda
