Snowman Hugs, Greetings of the Season, Snowy Wonder, Christmas Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog.  Today I have a fun snowman card to share with you. I debated on buying this set because I didn't care much for the other snowman that is more of a southern one. I live in the cold north so a snowman is made of snow and not sand. But my love of snowmen won and I bought the set. Please read on to see how I made today's card.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Iconic Celebrations" 6" x 6" stack. I taped it to the front of the card base.

Next I stamped the snowman from the "Snowman Hugs" set. I colored him using using my Blends pens. I used Real Red, Pumpkin Pie, Pecan Pie, Granny Apple Green and Basic Black. Then I fussy cut him out.

Using a scrap piece of Basic White I cut the background shape from the "Greetings of the Season" bundle. Then I textured it using the "Falling Snow" embossing folder. Using Dimensionals I set the snowman in place on top of it.

The words are from the "Sophisticated Sled" and were stamped on a scrap piece of Basic White card stock using Misty Moonlight ink. I cut it out using a die from the "Spotlight on Nature" bundle. I used glue on the left side and a Dimensional on the right side. Then I set the whole piece in place on the front of the card.

I cut three snowflakes using the die from the "Snowy Wonder" using scraps of Basic White card stock. I used a little glue on some of the tips and I set them in place on the front of the card. I also added three crystal rhinestones to the centers of each of the snowflakes because I didn't like the opening in them. And that was it.

No wait, it wasn't it. I didn't like the face of the snowman so I took a pencil and lightly drew an almost full circle to show where the carrot had been. It just looked too empty and smooth there and now I REALLY love this snowman.

This was a fun and easy card to make. Even the fussy cutting wasn't bad at all. The bunny had a few curves but it wasn't bad.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's Christmas card,
Wanda
