Simply Said, Textured Floral, The Season of Green & Gold, Friendship Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a fun friendship card to share with you. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Old Olive card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut two 4" x 5-1/4" pieces of Basic White card stock. One I taped to the inside and the other I will be taping to the front of the card.

Next I cut 5 strips of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from "The Season of Green & Gold" 12" x 12" package. They measured 4-3/4" x 1/2" and I cut 5 Old Olive layers that measured 4-7/8" x 5/8". I taped the layers together and I did keep the design like it was before cutting. The strips were taped to the Basic White piece. I taped the outside pieces first and then the center one. The remaining two just fit in place.

Using Old Olive card stock cut the geometric shape from the "Nested Essentials" set using the second largest die. And I cut a Basic White one using the third largest die. I taped the two pieces together. Dimensionals were added to the back and the piece was set in place on the front of the card, centering it by eyeing it.

I cut the gold leaves using the die from the "Textured Floral" bundle. And the other leaf bunches are from a piece of DSP in the same "The Season of Green & Gold" package. I fussy cut both of them. There are dies for this but I didn't purchase them, I had just purchased the DSP. Those pieces were glued to the top of the geometric pieces.

The words are from the "Simply Said" set and were stamped using black Memento ink on a scrap piece of Basic White card stock. I cut them using the die from the "Nested Essentials" set. Dimensionals were added to the right side and tape to the left and the piece was set in place on the front of the card.  And the card was done.

This was a very quick and easy card to make. I used to shy away from strips on cards but the more I've done them the better I am getting at placing them.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's friendship card,
Wanda
