The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the bottom and the fold is on the top.
I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic Black card stock and on top of that is a 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" piece of Basic White card stock. I taped the two pieces together and then I taped them to the front of the card.
The two strips are cut from a piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Unbounded Beauty" 12" x 12" package. I cut them at 4-1/4" x 1" and the Basic Black layers are cut at 4-3/8" x 1-1/8". I taped the layers together. Then those were taped to the front of the card about 3/4" from the bottom edge and 3/4" from the top edge and the sides are about 9/16" from the edges.
Next I cut the focal piece from a scrap piece of Basic White card stock. It measures 1-3/4" x 3-1/2" and the layer behind it measures 1-7/8" x 3-5/8". I stamped the words from the "Happiest Day" set using black Memento ink. I also stamped the sun from the same set. I used Crushed Curry ink. The layers were taped together, Dimensionals were added to the back and it was set in place on the front of the card about 1" from the left edge and about 3/8" from the bottom edge.
I stamped the dragonfly next using black Memento ink. Pumpkin Pie ink was used to stamp the wings. I fussy cut the piece out. Dimensionals were added to the back and the piece was set in place on the front of the card.
I had some retired colored rhinestones and set them in place on the front of the card. And the card was done.
This was a very fun and quick card to make. I am having a lot of fun with this "Happiest Day" set.
Thank you SO very much for stopping by and seeing today's friendship card,
Wanda
