Flowering Beauty, Layering Leaves, Friendship Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a pretty card to share with you that I found on the internet. You can see the original card here. There were no instructions so I had to figure it out myself and hope I got it right or at least close! Please read on to see how I made this card.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Basic Black card stock, it opens on the right and the fold is on the left. I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock and taped it to the inside.

On the outside I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Bubble Bath card stock. On top of that is a 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP), I taped that piece in place.

Next I cut a 4" x 2-3/4"  piece of Basic White for the layer behind the focal piece. On top of that is a 2-5/8" x 3-7/8" piece of Basic Black piece. I taped those two pieces together. Then I cut a 3-3/4" x 2-1/2" piece of Basic White card stock. I marked it at 1/2" from the left bottom edge and 3/8" down on the right side. I put the piece in my paper cutter, I lined up the marks and cut the angle. I taped that to the Basic Black piece in the focal layer. I taped this layered piece on top of the card base. I centered it by eying it.

The flower stem piece was cut using a die from the "Flowers of Beauty" bundle on a piece of Basic White card stock. I added some dots of glue on the wider pieces of the flower stems and set it in place on the front of the card.

In the "Flowers of Beauty" bundle is a strip of flowers. I cut then using a piece of Bubble Bath card stock. I glued them in place on the flower stem piece.

The "hello" is from the "Layering Leaves" set and were stamped using Versa Mark on a scrap piece of Basic Black card stock. I used white embossing powder and I heat set it. Then I fussy cut around the letters. I glued it in place and the card was done.

This was an easy card to make. I love all the layers and I love the looks of it.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's friendship card,
Wanda
