Thoughtful Journey, Unbounded Love, Friendship Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a fun die cut card to share with you. Please read on to see how I made today's card.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Misty Moonlight card stock and I taped it to the front of the card.

Next I cut a piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Thoughtful Journey" 6" x 6" package. That piece measures 3-3/4" x 5".

I cut another piece of DSP from the same package and I cut it the same size. Using the 7th die in the "Deckled Circles" die set I cut into the top piece about 2-1/4".  Dimensionals were added to the back of the piece and it was set in place on top of the first piece of DSP.

The wording is from the "Unbounded Love" bundle and were stamped using Night of Navy ink. I cut them out using a die from the same bundle. This die is a bit difficult to work with. I thought it would just make some marks on the card stock and cut the outer edge. It actually cut out the center word piece. I taped the pieces back together. Dimensionals were added to the back on the areas where they would be sticking to the DSP.

The leaves are from another die in the "Unbounded Love" bundle. I had originally cut out that piece with different words but it too was a die that the inside comes out. I couldn't tape it back together because the part that would hang over the open area wouldn't be sturdy enough to support the piece. SO I cut the leaves off the piece and tucked them under the "hello" piece. I liked the look so I glued the stem of the leaves down and then set the word piece in place over a bit of the leaves. And I liked how it looked and I left it as it was. No bling, no ribbons and no threads.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's friendship card,
Wanda
