Sophisticated Sled, Winter Meadow, Gift Card Holder Christmas Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. I have a fun gift card holder Christmas card to share with you. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of my card is a 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" piece of Moody Mauve card stock. On top of that is a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Winter Meadow" 12" x 12" package. I taped it to the card base.

Next I cut a 6" x 4-1/4" piece of Moody Mauve card stock and I folded it in half on the long side. Once folded it measures 3" x 4-1/4".  I taped a 2-3/4" x 4" piece of DSP on the front from the same package.

I also took another piece of DSP and cut it at 3-1/4" x 3".  I scored it at 1/4" on the two sides. Once the score lines were folded in it measured 2-3/4" x 3".  I took a round punch and punched the upper part so you can get the gift card out easier. Then the piece was glued to the inside of the piece. I glued the bottom and then the outside of the folded sides. It was set in place on the inside of the front cover of the little card.

On the inside of the little card I taped a 2-3/4" x 4" piece of Basic White to stamp or write on.

The little card was taped in place on the front of the card base.

The sled was made next. It's made the same as the one I did yesterday. The instructions are exactly the same, so if they sound familiar, that's why. The bottom part of the sled was cut using Basic Black card stock. The "wooden" part of the sled was cut from Pecan Pie card stock. The greenery was cut using Old Olive and Mossy Meadow card stock. The skates and laces were cut from Basic White card stock. And the blades were cut from some silver metallic card stock.

The laces were glued to the skates and then the blades were added. I took a 6" piece of Baker's Twine and attached it to the back of the skates using Dimensionals to hold it down. I left 2" on the upper part, 1" on each side for "hanging" the skates. More Dimensionals were added to the back of the skates and they were set aside.

Next I added the greenery to the top part of the sled. Then the skates were set in place using the Dimensionals and at the top a glue dot was added to hold the string. I tied a double bow and added it using two glue dots.

Three pearls were colored using my dark Cherry Cobbler Blends pen and set on the greenery.

Dimensionals were added to the back of the sled and it was placed on the front of the little card.

And that was it. I think it's a fun gift card holder Christmas card.

Thank you SO much for taking your time to stop in and see today's Christmas gift card holder,
Wanda
