Happiest Day, Wildly Flowering, Birthday Card, Gift Card Holder, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a birthday card gift card holder card to share with you. WOW, I used the word "card" three times in that unusually worded sentence.  My English teacher would be appalled! But I'm not being graded here so hopefully you will overlook it and read on to see how the card was made.

The base of my card is a quarter sheet of Misty Moonlight card stock. It measures 4-1/4" x 5-1/2".

I cut a 6" x 3" piece of Basic White card stock and folded it at 3".

A 3" x 4" piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Wildly Flowering" 12" x 12" package was taped to the front of the Basic White piece.

On the inside I cut another piece of DSP from the same package. It measured 3" x 3-1/4". I scored it on the long side at 1/4" on each side. I folded the scores to the inside. I used a circle punch to punch a bit off the top to make it easier to remove the gift card. I then glued that piece to the top of the Basic White piece on the inside flap.

The words were done next. They are from the "Happiest Day" set and were stamped using Misty Moonlight ink. I cut them out using the "Perennial Postage" die. I used the 4th die in the set. I had moved the die so the words were on the upper part. I needed to have room for a bow.

I didn't have any Misty Moonlight ribbon so I used some retire Basic White ribbon that I had. I tied a bow and set it on that open area using a glue dot.  The word piece was set in place using Dimensionals and the card was done.

This is such a quick and easy way to make a gift card card. I am thinking I may be making some of these for Christmas. They not only hold gift cards but you can fold some money up and slip it in that pocket too.

Thank you SO much for taking your time to stop in and see today's birthday card gift card holder,
Wanda
