Enduring Beauty, Cheerful Daisies, Birthday Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have one more "Enduring Beauty" flower bunch to share with you and then I'll move on to something else (promise). Please read on to see how the card was made.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Wildly Flowering" 12" x 12" package. I taped that to the front of the card.

Next I cut a strip of DSP from the "Season of Green & Gold" 12" x 12" package. It measures 5-1/4" x 1-1/2". I taped that to the left side of the card, on top of the "Wildly Flowering" DSP.

Then the flowers were colored. I stamped them from the "Enduring Beauty" bundle using black Memento ink on a piece of Basic White card stock.  I colored them using the matching stencils. I used stencils 1-4. The colors I used were Bubble Bath and Fresh Freesia for the flowers and Granny Apple Green for the leaves (stencils 3 and 4). Dimensionals were added to the back and the piece was set in place on the front of the card but don't press down on it yet.

The words are from the "Cheerful Daisies" bundle and were stamped using Mossy Meadow ink and then cut out using the matching die. I set the words in place using Dimensionals. 

In that same die there is a branchy looking die, I cut two and tucked them under the flower piece and then I pressed the flower piece in place.

I added a few small pearls and the card was done. 

There is one thing I would do if I were to make this again. I'd pay better attention to the outline on the colored flowers. On this card they seemed to have gotten dulled. I would stamp my image using the Stamparatus or a MISTI and leave the stamp on it until I'm all done with the card. Once the stenciling was done I could have put it back in the Stamparatus or MISTI and stamped it again to make those lines darker. But this is what I ended up with because that thought didn't come to mind until I was all done and it was too late.

Stenciling is such a fun way to make beautiful cards. I do like how it turned out. I think it's the background that is making this card likable for me.
