The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Copper Clay card stock. Once cut it measured 4-1/4" x 11". I scored it at 4-1/2", 5-1/2" and 6-1/2". I folded it in half and then glued the inside on the 6-1/2" area. Close the card, use your bone folder to press the glue in place.
I cut a 4-1/4" x 4" piece of Basic Black for the top of the card. I also cut a 4-1/4" x 4" piece of Basic White card stock and taped it to the inside.
Then I cut a 4" x 3-3/4" piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Take to the Sky" 12" x 12" package. I taped that to the Basic Black piece and then that was taped to the front of the card.
Next I die cut four squares using the "Perennial Postage" set. I used the smallest square die. I taped the four squares on a piece of Basic Black card stock that measures 3" x 3". Dimensionals were added to the back and the piece was set in place on the front of the card.
The words are from the "Adventurous Sky" bundle and were stamped using black Memento ink on a piece of Basic White card stock. I used the die from the bundle to cut the words out. I snipped the ends off. Tape was added to the back and it was set on a piece of Basic Black card stock. I trimmed it to fit the word piece. After cutting the Basic Black piece measured 1/2" x 2-1/8". Dimensionals were added to the back and it was set in place on the center of the card.
On the strip on the left side I cut a 4" x 7/8" piece of Basic Black card stock for the layer and the DSP was cut at 3-7/8" x 3/4". I taped the DSP to the Basic Black piece and then taped that piece to the left side of the card on that 1" strip. I thought that space still needed something, I added a 1/4" x 3-5/8" piece of Basic Black card stock. I glued that piece in place. And that was it.
I thought this card was so warm looking. I think it's the airplane DSP, it's got such nice colors to it that draw your eye to it.
This was a fun card to make and I am pleased with the way it turned out.
Thank you SO much for taking your time to stop in and see today's masculine birthday card,
Wanda
